SUMMARYThe American Dream can kill is about the aftermath of Lennie Smalls death. George Milton is being put onto the stand along with other witnesses at the time. The audience is finally going to find out what happened to George after is put a gun to Lennies head. The genre of the radio drama is novella, action and drama.

CHARACTER PROFILES

GEORGE MILTONThe role of George is played byJames Franco. George was known for being a migrant worker who cares for Lennie. George dreamt of some day owning his own land, but he realises the difficulty of making this dream come true. George is being accused of murdering Lennie and he is going on trial so that the court can find out what really happened to Lennie the night of the death.

LENNIE SMALLSThe role of Lennie is played byChris ODowd.Lennie was a worker who is mentally handicapped and strong. He depends on his friend George to give him advice and protect him from situations that he does not understand. In order to be protected he was killed by George.

JUDGE LINCOLNThe role of Judge Lincoln is played byThomas Francis WilsonJr. The judge is the one who is going to have place a verdict onto the Georges trial and let the audience know if George is going to be killed for Lennies death or if he is going to be set free and not charged at all.

NARRATOR/PRESENTERThe role of the presenter is played byDavidAttenborough.This is the most important person as he is going to be the one who are going to be announce the radio drama and explain the name of the the entire drama.

JURYThe jury is going to be played by a range of people who are as following Dean Norris, Susan May Pratt, Andy Berman, Andy Powers, Sarah BuxtonandAnne Betancourt.

SLIMThe role of Slim is played byJim Parrack. Slim is the leader of the entire team whom everyone respects. Slim becomes close with George as he feels a sense of protect for Lennie in additional to George. Slim is one of the few on the ranch who understands Georges situation with Lennie and he understands why George made the decision to kill Lennie.

BAILIFFThe role of the bailiff is played byRusty Burrell. The bailiff the one who is in charge of starting the court case and he is the one who is responsibility for taking the defendant to and fore of the holding cell.

PUBLIC DEFENDERThe role of the public defender is played byGerard Butler.The public defender is the one who is going to be trying to plead George's case and trying to prove if George is innocent or if he needs to be charged for the death of Lennie.

DISTRICT ATTORNEYThe role of the district attorney is played by Tom Hardy.The role of the district attorney is to make sure that George is convicted for this crime and there is justice for the death of Lennie.

CLERKThe role of the clerk is played byLeighton Meester.The role of the clerk is to assist the judge and make sure that everything is sorted out and handled. The clerk is the one who has to swear the jury and the witness' who come onto the stand.

SCHEDULING The radio station that the radio drama is going to be broadcasted on is BBC Radio 4 extra. The radio drama would be on every week and the time that it is going to be 2pm on a Friday. The reason for this is because it is better to broadcast the hour long drama for 6 weeks and this is to make sure that the drama sells as a whole. The radio drama is going to have 6 hour long episodes. The podcast is going to be available on live broadcasting and it will be a podcast which is available on BBC iPlayer for the secondary audience to listen to.

AUDIENCEThe primary audience for the radio drama is going to be the elderly people who are interested in the story and the film contextually. The secondary audience is the people who are interested in novel and the history from that time period.
