COnvener’s InvItatIOn Dear Colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that I invite you to participate in The Alfred Hospital Intensive Course in General Surgery. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have converted the course to be fully online and on-demand. The course will be on-demand and available for registered delegates to view at their leisure for 12 months. Course content will be available online from Friday 29 October 2021.

The organising committee have put together an outstanding program which should appeal to all general surgeons regardless of their subspecialties.

This year’s course features an array of outstanding invited speakers including Professor Andrew Stevenson, Brisbane, QLD, Professor Peter Stanton, Hobart, TAS, Dr David Cavallucci, Brisbane, QLD, Ms Jane Fox, Melbourne, VIC, Dr David Martin, Sydney, NSW and Dr Leigh Rutherford, Gold Coast, QLD. As always in addition to our invited speakers, an extensive list of local faculty from The Alfred Hospital will also provide additional perspectives to the presentations and panel discussions.

We would like to acknowledge the invaluable support provided by the industry, in particular our platinum sponsor Medtronic and our bronze sponsors Aspen Australia, Gore & Associates and Priority Life.

We hope you enjoy The Alfred Hospital Intensive Course in General Surgery - online and on-demand.
