What Does 99% Looks Like? I am looking forward to meeting and speaking to you guys at the New Broker Academy. Until we meet, I want you to think about one simple question. Most of you became a mortgage broker to be your own boss. I get that. You will love the freedom. But what kind of boss are you going to be? Being your own boss is not easy. You will feel rudderless. You will work odd hours. No one is driving you. You have to do drive yourself. From minute to minute, hour-to-hour, day-to-day, you will need to craft a life that is balanced and sustainable. Most new brokers are under the misconception that if they follow the sales process, learn the products, credit policies, rules and regulations, they will succeed in this game. Some even think that the loan products will just sell themselves. And the commission forecasts can look very exciting on paper. If it were that easy, every broker would be writing $100 mil per year. The reality is that some brokers do really well; some struggle and others will give up. Why? Every broker has the same 24 hours in the day. They all have access to the same loan products and the same technology. Why do some succeed and others fail? I’ll tell you why. Knowledge is no longer powerful enough. Information is everywhere. It’s all over Google. And people are working smarter than ever before. So what is the difference between success and mediocrity? The difference is your energy. Energy is the foundation for everything you do in your day. You may wake up with the best intentions to build your business, generate leads, meet with referral networks, and balance all your personal commitments but it all comes crashing down if you have energy dips throughout the day.

You will end up flopped on the lounge at home watching re-runs of Judge Judy.

99% of your success is going to depend on how well you craft and sustain your energy levels. Energy is the new currency in the 21st Century - much more precious than time or money. By managing energy more skillfully, it’s possible to get more done, in less time, more sustainably.

And having high energy is not all about your own performance. Sales is all about TRUST. When you’re sitting in a customers living room, they are not thinking, “Wow this person knows their products, I am going to sign up!” Knowledge is expected! They are thinking, “Can I trust you?” Selling a home loan all comes down to a high level of trust. And there is an invisible force that connects people. We reflect out what is within, which means that if you do not project the right energy people will read that and disconnect from you. Conversely, energetic people are sharper, more engaging, attractive, self-confident and therefore, incredibly good at building a bridge of trust with the customer.

At this point, I know what you are thinking, “I know how to take care of myself. I will eat well, exercise etc…” Let me tell you, that is the tip of the energy iceberg. To really succeed in this game, you need to operate at what athletes call Peak Performance

levels. I have spent over 30 years studying energy and the psychology of Peak Performance. At the Broker Academy I will be sharing with you the very latest and best tips that will transform you into an awesome broker that customers will love and rave about. So much so, your colleagues will be asking, “How do they do it?”

I look forward to meeting you.…………………………………………………………………………………………..
