sideration and believe Gods A-B-C? It is Godsway of salvation and the only way to have a guar-anteed future in heaven.

The matter of doing good works has not comeup so far, because Christ has done it all. All that isnecessary for your salvation has been completed, and you may simply rest your soul on what Hehas already done. The moment you trust in Himfor salvation, you are saved from your sins and as-sured of spending eternity in heaven.

Up to this point, there has been no mention ofany other letters. These come after you have un-derstood and obeyed the first three letters. Nowwe can look at the letter D.

FinallyDOINGThe following verse applies to those who, by

faith, have received Gods salvation: We are...created in Christ Jesus unto good works, whichGod hath before ordained that we should walk inthem (Ephesians 2:10).

The doing part comes last, as the result of yourhaving received eternal life. You can never receiveeternal life by earning it; the good works nowprove that you reallypossess it.

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there

is none other name under heaven given amongmen, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Read no further until you accept the fact thatwhat God says is true and that each of us is a sin-ner in His eyes. But He doesnt just give up on us

because we are sinners; He loves us too much forthat. He has a remedy for sinners, and it is ex-plained under the letter B.

BBELIEVEBelieve on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt

    be saved (Acts 16:31).

No one can claim they have salvation until theytruly believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. If you willtrust Christ for salvation and Him only, that is allthat is necessarysalvation is yours! The letter Cexplains the wonderful work He did to providesalvation for you.

CCHRISTChrist also hath once suffered for sins, the just

for the unjust, that He might bring us to God(1 Peter 3:18).

If you acknowledge that you are a sinner ac-cording to A, and if you believe on Christ accord-ing to B, C tells you that Christ has alreadysuffered for your sins. You committed the sins;Christ bore the punishment in your place. Now

God can give younot the punishment, whichChrist has already completely exhaustedbutHis gift of salvation, which is eternal life through

Jesus Christ our Lord.Thats how you can be sure you will spend eter-

nity in heaven. Now, are you going to just forgetabout what youve read here and go on as be-forewithout God and without heaven for yourfuture? Or will you give this matter serious con-

hat must I do to be saved? the Philip-pian jailer asked Paul many years ago.

From that time to the present, What can I do? isthe immediate thought of most people when thequestion of going to heaven is raised.

If someone asked you about salvation and theway to heaven, would your answer be, We eachhave to do our very best? Then, if you were askedfor something specific, would your list include be-ing a good parent, attending church regularly, be-

ing honest, helping others, and any number ofother requirements most people assume are onGods checklist?

Now, if I tell you that you are wrong, will youbecome angry and throw this tract away? I urgeyou to read on to the end to find out why your an-swer is wrong. There is a right answer to the ques-tion, How can I get to heaven? No doubt goodworks are a necessary part of the Christian life, butaccording to what God tells us, good works dontcome first.

When you were taught the alphabet, youlearned the letters in their correct order. Youlearned that A, B and C all come before D. Theletter D certainly is in the alphabet, but its placeis fourth, not first. In Matthew 18:3, Jesus says,

Except ye . . . become as little children, ye shallnot enter into the kingdom of heaven. FollowingHis instruction to learn as a little child, you must

begin with Gods A, B and C and not put D at thebeginning.

First, you must believe Gods A. What is it?
