Medical Education Resources is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This CE activity provides 43.5 contact hours of continuing nursing education. Medical Education Resources is a provider of continuing nursing education by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #CEP 12299, for 43.5 contact hours. Target Audience This symposium is intended for residents, fellows, and practicing physicians as well as their clinical and office staff in the fields of Dermatology, Facial Plastic Surgery, Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery & Plastic Surgery.

It is our pleasure to welcome our faculty, attendees, friends, and

all those involved in Vegas Cosmetic Surgery 2013. It truly requires a community

of dedicated professionals to create such a sophisticated educational

event.

Bringing the core specialities of facial plastic surgery, plastic surgery, dermatology, and oculoplastic surgery together has been our mission

over the past 20 years. Each of these core specialities brings tremendous experience, expertise, and the desire to share these valuable assets with all of us.

During this year’s Symposium, attendees and faculty will have the unique opportunity of listening to a fifteen minute talk during the general session, and then follow this up with a forty-five minute lecture providing greater detail during the Masters Seminars. This year’s symposium title has been changed to reflect the latest addition.. a fourth major meeting track that includes non-invasive and minimally invasive lectures and panels that is relevant to all of the four major core specialties. We have also enhanced the Rhinoplasty portion of the meeting with the help of advisory board member Dr. Steven Pearlman. We now devote two full days to the complex and sophisticated art of Rhinoplasty including two mornings featuring domestic and international speakers demonstrating recent videos of their Rhinoplasty technique.

Of course as is our tradition, we have led the movement to include marketing and management as part of the overall meeting experience. Our four and one-half day marketing and management workshop is second to none and has really set the bar for this type of education. In fact this year we will have more than 30 industry experts involved in teaching this session. We are often told by our attendees that their only regret was not bringing their office staff with them to the meeting so a word to the wise! Bring your staff! They will love Las Vegas and your practice will be a huge beneficiary of the knowledge, tips, and pearls that should not “stay in Las Vegas”.

We will have a number of panels discussing considerations needed when purchasing new technology, the challenging patient, planning a successful event, reputation management, preventing fraud and in office theft, preventing and managing filler complications, dealing with “discount” competition, and avoiding malpractice suits.

We will also have three major panels which will present a series of debates on some controversies that are part of the aesthetic field. We will have a set of judges and two of our faculty will engage in a “lively” debate on each of the selected issues. These multi-specialty debates should be a memorable feature of our ninth symposium!

Finally we have a half day workshop on improving the utilization of social media including facebook, twitter, and pinterest in your practice. You are advised to bring your laptop with you for this “hands on” session.

We will have more than 100 companies represented in our largest exhibit hall ever. The Multi-Specialty Foundation feels that we have worked extremely hard to create our grandest educational experience in this year’s conference. We genuinely hope that you will join our 100 plus domestic and international faculty in Las Vegas for what has become the nation’s premier multi-specialty aesthetic event.

Hope to Meet You in Las Vegas in June,

S. Randolph Waldman, MD Donn Chatham, MDRenato Saltz, MD

“Vegas cosmetic surgery has become the pre-eminent meeting in facial cosmetic surgery. I have been involved in planning other meetings and I know it is nice to

be appreciated and have someone say thanks for a job well done.”- Ross A. Clevens, M.D.

South Harbor City, Florida

“In June I took part in the multi-disciplinary meeting of Randy Waldman in Las Vegas, and this meeting exceeded all my expectations.”

- Wolfgang Gubisch, M.D.Plastic Surgeon, Stuttgart, Germany

“This meeting is the best educational meeting for cosmetic dermatologic surgeons because it features the best lecturers in fillers, facial plastic

procedures, neurotoxins, and office management.”- Ron Moy, M.D.

Dermatologist, Beverly Hills, CA

“The Multispecialty meeting is consistently one of the best meetings I attend every year. I always return with clinical and practice management pearls that I can

immediately implement into my practice. But the key is the tips are practical and real. I appreciate the varied philosophies and perspective of different specialties.”

- Steven Dayan, M.D.Facial Plastic Surgeon, Chicago, Illinois

“My biggest complaint about the Multispecialty Meeting is that there are so many impressive talks going on at the same time, I always miss something great.”

- Steven Pearlman, M.D.Facial Plastic Surgeon, New York, NY

“I want to share with you my pleasure at participating in the meeting. It truly is the most scientifically (and socially) rewarding 4 days I have ever spent.”

-Jeffrey Epstein, M.D.Facial Plastic Surgeon, Miami, FL

“Thanks again for organizing the best meeting in facial aesthetic surgery in the country. Year after year you guys do the best job and I have had a number of people

write or tell me such.”- Richard Anderson, M.D.

Oculoplastic Surgeon, Salt Lake City, Utah

“I thoroughly enjoyed participating in this meeting and consider it the most educational aesthetic event I have ever attended.”

- David Rosenberg, M.D.Facial Plastic Surgeon, New York, NY

“As usual you put together an outstanding meeting. Think of all the patients whose outcomes will be improved and the young doctors who will be inspired to

contribute to the field”-Robert Goldberg, M.D.

Oculoplastic Surgeon, Los Angeles, CA

“There is no doubt that this meeting has set a new paradigm for facial cosmetic surgery teaching”

- E. Gaylon McCollough, M.D.Facial Plastic Surgeon, Gulf Shores, AL

“Vegas Cosmetic Surgery is a unique opportunity for open exchanges of information among core cosmetic specialists about topics ranging from the nuts and bolts of running a practice to

specificproceduraltechniques.IalwaysleavewithpracticalpearlsIcanuseimmediately.IonlywishI could be in two places at once to take advantage of the parallel sessions!”

- Heidi Waldorf, MDDermatologist, New York, NY

“Thank you for the vision and drive to put this incredible meeting together. Its the best meeting

I have ever attended and the spirit of collegiality between the core specialties is unparalleled”- Vivian Bucay, M.D.
