小提琴家林昭亮備受世界讚譽，演奏極富感染力，展現出卓越的音樂才華。在長達逾三十年的環球演奏生涯中，音

樂足跡廣泛，無論與世界知名樂團合作室樂演出、獨奏或是音樂教學都表現出眾。林昭亮熱衷於室樂，除了參加北

京音樂節外，亦經常在紐約林肯中心室內樂協會音樂季、阿斯本音樂節、聖達菲室內音樂節等演出。自二○○一年

起，他開始擔任拉荷亞音樂協會「仲夏音樂節」的音樂總監、並於二○一一年起，開始擔任香港國際室內樂音樂節

的音樂總監。林昭亮的音樂錄音全輯內容豐富，其專輯更榮獲多個獎項，包括獲《留聲機》雜誌評為「年度最佳唱

片」和兩次獲格林美獎提名。二○○○年，林昭亮獲《音樂美國》雜誌 (Musical America) 評選為「年度器樂演奏

家」。他現於萊斯大學 Shepherd 音樂學院擔任小提琴教授。他演奏用的小提琴是斯特拉廸瓦裡在一七一五年製成

Violinist Cho-Liang Lin is lauded the world over for the eloquence of his playing and for the superb musicianship that marks

his performances. In a concert career spanning the globe for thirty years, he is equally at home with orchestra, in recital, playing

chamber music, as in a teaching studio. An avid chamber musician, Mr Lin has also been the Music Director of La Jolla Music

Society’s SummerFest since 2001 and the Hong Kong International Chamber Music Festival since 2011. Cho-Liang Lin’s

extensive discography has won such awards as Gramophone’s Record of the Year, as well as two Grammy Award nominations.

In 2000 Musical America named Mr. Lin its Instrumentalist of the Year. He is currently a professor of violin at Rice University’s

Shepherd School of Music. He plays the 1715 "Titian" Stradivarius. See http://cholianglin.com for more information.

The Gala Opening Night Concert launches the 5th Hong Kong International Chamber Music Festival with some of the finest chamber music ever written. The concert celebrates master musicians performing master compositions including Mendelssohn’s beautiful Octet and Brahms’s vivacious Piano Quartet. A true virtuoso, Vadim Repin is one of the great violinists of our time. In addition to being a superb soloist, Repin is also a consummate chamber musician. 外展及教育活動 OutrEaCh & EduCatiOn PrOgrammE飛躍演奏香港希望為年輕演奏家及業餘音樂愛好

者舉辦世界級的音樂訓練，讓他們親身感受創作

音樂的樂趣。今年音樂節除了舉辦由音樂節樂手

主持的大師班及工作坊外，外展及教育活動更邀

得來自美國的精神科臨床教授李察．高根醫生，

於其教育音樂會中，講解從作曲家舒曼、布拉姆

斯及貝多芬的作品中所反映的心理學狀態，而音

樂會前講座則由本地音樂學者胡銘堯先生主講。

PPHK aims to provide world class training opportunities to promising young artists, accomplished amateurs and professional musicians alike so that they can all experience the joy of making music. In addition to masterclasses and chamber music workshops by Festival musicians, Dr. Richard Kogan will give a series of educational recitals demonstrating how the mental state of the composers Schumann, Brahms and Beethoven is reflected in their music. Local music lecturer Dennis Wu will also be giving a series of pre-concert talks and lectures.

admission is free for all our Outreach & Education Programme events. advance registration is required at www.pphk.org as space is limited.

李察．高根醫生 Dr. Richard Kogan

李察．高根醫生無論作為一個鋼琴演奏家及一位精神病學家都同樣出色。作為威爾康奈爾醫學院的精神科臨床教授及威爾康奈音樂及醫學項目的藝術總監，他曾獲《紐約時報》讚許「清晰，具吸引力，優美精彩的演奏」，及《波士頓環球報》描述「高根總有些方法，令他在世上要求最高的兩種職業上都非常優秀」。

高根醫生憑藉他就有關音樂在治療中的角色，以及心理、精神、疾病對作曲家創作的影響的講座式音樂會享負盛名，曾探討的作曲家包括有：莫扎特、貝多芬、蕭邦、舒曼、柴可夫斯基、拉赫曼尼諾夫、蓋希文及伯恩斯坦。他曾在全世界的音樂節、音樂會系列、醫學會議及學術座談會上作這方面的演講。他在瑞士達沃斯舉行的世界經濟論壇中發表演說。

Dr. Richard Kogan has a distinguished career both as a concert pianist and as a psychiatrist. Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College and Artistic Director of the Weill Cornell Music and Medicine Program, he has been praised for his "eloquent, compelling, and exquisite playing" by the New York Times.

Dr. Kogan has gained renown for his lecture/recitals that explore the influence of psychological factors and psychiatric illness on the creative output of composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Schumann, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Gershwin, and Bernstein. He has given these presentations at music festivals, concert series, medical conferences, and scholarly symposia throughout the world, including at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

胡銘堯先生 Dennis Wu

胡銘堯先生是活躍於香港的音樂作家、作曲家、樂評人及多種不同音樂項目及製作的專才。他是電台節目監製，曾在香港電台第四台製作及主持多個節目，並常在音樂會前講座、與藝術家對談及音樂評論研討會中擔任主講。他的文章廣泛在香港的報章及雜誌出版，每個月亦會為《Hifi 音響》撰稿。他活躍於網絡上的寫作及評論，詳細資料可前往主網頁 www.denniswu.com 。

Dennis Wu is an active music writer, composer and a specialist on a wide range of projects and productions. He is a radio producer, having produced and hosted numerous radio programmes on RTHK Radio 4, and a frequent speaker in pre-concert talks, meet-the-artist panels and music criticism seminars. His writings are widely published in newspapers and magazines, including monthly articles on Hifi Review. He maintains an active online persona, mainly via his website at www.denniswu.com.
