1st grade science

• There are 4 different season. We dress differently depending on what the weather is like outside. There are fun things to do each season. Click on the picture below to learn about each season. After you learn about each season, click the review button for the quiz!

Summer

• Summer is the warmest season of the year. Summer is from June to August. We don’t come to school in the summer, so you can have a lot of fun in the summer!

• Since it is hot outside, you wear less clothing. Wearing shorts, a t shirt, or flip flops are some things you wear in the summer.

Winter

• Winter is the coldest season of the year. Winter is from December to February.

• In the Winter it is very cold, so you have to dress warmly. Some things you come wear in the Winter are sweatpants, coats, gloves, ear muffs, and more.

Spring

• Spring is after winter, but before summer. It is from March to May. Spring is when plants begin to grow.

• During the spring the weather is sunny, but sometimes rainy. You can play outside or help your mother in her garden. During the spring you can begin to wear t-shirts again and not need a coat. You might need sunglasses because it is very sunny during spring.

Fall

• Fall is the third season of the year, when crops and fruits are gathered and leaves fall. Fall is from September to November.

• During Fall, also called autumn, leaves fall, so raking is always a fun activity you can do. Also, it is less hot outside, so you will be able to play outside without getting too hot. It becomes cooler in the fall, so you’ll need to wear a jacket and long pants, again.
