procedures done every year with major focus on Multi-disciplinary management
of colorectal diseases including cancer.
The Institutes of Colorectal Surgery at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai is
collaborating with Cleveland Clinic, USA & University College London
Hospitals, UK to create a platform for creating awareness, teaching, training &
accreditation in the management of Colorectal Diseases. The aim of this
collaborative is to standardise care pathways, train and accredit surgeons
involved in the care of patients with colorectal diseases. This collaborative will
be ongoing delivering an annual colorectal event focusing on different aspects
of colorectal surgery/disease with main focus on emerging and new
technologies for colorectal surgery.

Along with my co-hosts, Prof. Steven Wexner from Cleveland Clinic, Florida, Prof.
Manish Chand from University College London Hospitals and Prof. Antonio Lacy
from Hospital Clinic, Barcelona, I welcome you all to “The 4th Annual Apollo
International Colorectal Symposium” being held in Chennai between 20th – 22nd
of March 2020. This year, in addition to the power packed programme over two days, we are
having pre-conference work-shop for you on the 20th of March 2020. Conducted
by world-renowned faculty, the workshops will be on Robotic Surgery,
Fluorescence Guided Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery and Gastrointestinal
Pathology..Our symposium on the 21st and 22nd of March 2020 will cover all aspects of
colorectal diseases and surgeries. We have a stellar faculty from across the globe
who will give us state of the art lectures on the management of colorectal diseases
and advancements in surgical procedures. This symposium promises to appraise
us on the cutting edge surgical procedures, master videos, technology,
challenges and how to deal with them.
