In collaboration with the University of Sharjah Course Description This one week course, taking place in the beautiful premises of the University of Sharjah in.the United Arab Emirates which is just a stone through away from Dubai, addresses the experienced general practitioner and the specialist in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry. The concept of modern comprehensive treatment planning, based on the evidence obtained in dental research in the last decades, will be presented. Case presentations, group work and discussions will be carried throughout the course in order to train the participants in settingup comprehensive treatment plans, using dental implants.Besides the theoretical part, several live surgeries will be performed. Modern periodontal regenerative .procedures and modern plastic periodontal.surgery, utilizing the latest developments in microsurgical techniques and materials will beaddressed. In collaboration with the University of Sharjahand without guided bone augmentations (GBR) in the aesthetic zone and implant surgery in the posterior maxilla in conjunction with sinus floor elevation will be performed. The participants will have the possibilities to practice these techniques in several hands-on exercises. Prosthetic rehabilitation of partially and totally edentulous patients with dental implants and how optimal aesthetic results can be achieved in post extraction sites utilizing new materials willbe discussed. After this course, participants will not only beup-to-date in periodontal regeneration, implant dentistry and bone augmentation procedures but they will have also seen some of the wonders that the Emirates have to offer and experience

He earned his BDS in 1992 from the Universidad del Zulia, Venezuela with many honorary diplomas for his academic performance.In 1992 Dr. Saab started his owndental clinic while working as a part-time orodental surgeon in many public medical centers like the Social Security Institute for the Ministryof Education, the Venezuelan Social Security for the Ministry of Labor Affairs and the Integral.Assistance to the Child Foundation, and he is amember of the Venezuelan Dental Association.Dr. Saab has been an ITI Fellow since 2008 and has been part of the Instructors Team for theComprehensive License Certification Course of Straumann Dental Implant System in UAE since 2004.Dr Nidal Saab is an ITI Mentor and part of the-Middle East ITI Section leadership group as the -current ITI Study Club Coordinator.
