That’s a great idea. Are you planning to work while you study?
I’m hoping it will be possible. I’m trying to work out a schedule that will let me stay on here.

Maria is thinking about becoming a nurse practitioner.
Grammar in Content
I’m considering taking someone on part-time. Let’s try to coordinate schedules.
• Last summer Maria received her degree as a registered nurse (RN) from Lincoln University. She is currently working at Mercy Hospital and living in a small apartment near her job. Soon she's going to be working in an allergy clinic. She’ll be giving injections and testing patients with allergies and other complaints.
Becoming a Nurse Practitioner
• Yesterday Maria was talking to another nurse about her work last year and her plans for the future. Last year she was workingduring the day as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) and attending classes four evenings a week. She was living at home and looking for an apartment in her free time. At work, Maria was assisting a doctor and performing simple lab tests. Maria’s position this yearinvolves more responsibility, and she is enjoying her job. However, she wants even more independence.
• For this reason, Maria is considering a special program at the state college. She is hoping to become a nurse in a private clinic. In this position, she will have even more responsibility. In three years, she will be treating patients, diagnosing their problems, planning their treatment, and prescribing medication. It’s going to be a lot more work, but Maria is looking forward to the challenge.
