Thanksgiving in China!

We are thankful for… family! Come celebrate with us in China! This fun heritage tour goes from Northeast to Southwest, taking you to the best destinations in China, including a visit to your child’s adoption province and Turkey Day in picturesque Yangshuo!

November 16th—Friday Depart the US headed for Beijing. November 17th—Saturday Welcome to China! Your guide will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. Get settled and enjoy the welcome feast. It’s going to be a great trip! November 18th—Sunday Your first full day in Beijing shows you traditional China. We take you to Beijing’s famous Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City, then go on a rickshaw tour of the tradi-tional “hutong” alleyway homes around Houhai Lake Park. November 19th—Monday See the famous “Bird’s Nest” Stadium and Water Cube of the 2008 Olympics, then continue on to the Great Wall of China! This is bound to be one of the highlights of your trip. Tonight, watch the incredible Beijing Acrobats! November 20th—Tuesday It’s time to head south and escape the cold. Take the morning flight to southwestern Chengdu. Once you’re set-tled in, we’ll mix it up with the locals at the People’s Park and then join a traditional tea ceremony. After dinner, it’s time for the magnificent Sichuan Variety Opera! November 21st—Wednesday Today, we are thankful for Pandas. Visit the Panda Breed-ing & Research Institute, where you’ll get to visit and (for an additional fee) hug a panda! Back in Chengdu, we will stroll through Jinli Street, where ancient China is ready to greet you with teahouses, shopping, and much more! Next we will take the evening flight to Guilin.

November 22nd—Thursday From Guilin, we will head to the beautiful village of Yangshuo, nestled among the re-gion’s famous karst hills. Explore Yangshuo and get settled in for the big Thanksgiving feast. After the meal, see the Li River come alive at night as you witness the incredible “Impression Sanjie Liu” Show. November 23rd—Friday For a more mellow day, we’ll take you for a cooking class and bike ride in the country-side, then visit a local Zhuang minority fam-ily’s home before returning to Guilin. November 24th—Saturday Before leaving Yangshuo, take a short cruise up the Li River. Then fly from Guilin to the capital of your child’s birth province, and continue to the orphanage site. November 25th—Sunday This is your family’s special day to trace back your child’s roots and spend time at his/her orphanage. November 26th—Monday After seeing your child’s hometown, fly to Guangzhou for our final city tour. November 27th—Tuesday Start the day at the incredible Xiangjiang Safari Park, full of tigers, giraffes, zebras, and, yes, more pandas! Then a return to Shamian Island to revisit the final stages of your adoption. Farewell banquet tonight. November 28th—Wednesday Pack up your souvenirs and gifts, it’s time to return to the good ole’ USA!
