This month is Thanksgiving time! It is celebrated in the United States of America on the fourth Thursday in November, which means that this year it will be held on … November.

It has been a national holiday since 1863 and it commemorates the first joint thanksgiving dinner which took place in 1622.

Thanksgiving Day is a harvest festival celebrated primarily in the United States and Canada.

Thanksgiving was a holiday to express thankfulness, gratitude, and appreciation to God, family and friends for which all have been blessed of material possessions and relationships.

Traditionally, it has been a time to give thanks for a bountiful harvest.

By the year 1620, a group of people travelled by ship from Britain to America. They were called The Pilgrims and their ship, The Mayflower. They arrived at Plymouth and settled there.

The first winter was hard and they didn’t collect anything so a lot of them died because of the wild winter and the lack of food.
