We all hope that this Blog finds you all safe and well - and starting to recover from several

very difficult months for us all! We are thrilled racing is back—albeit without

owners—for the moment!! Hopefully with restrictions being reduced now to 1

metre (hot off the press) there might be some changes afoot at racecourses—lets

hope so……. Couldn’t resist the mysterious masked man photo….

So, Michaels yard has had some of the horses out in the last couple of weeks.

Bounty Pursuit for R4AC had his first run for us after 240 days at Newbury on the

11th June. A pleasing start with only 1 1/2 neck between him in 4th and the winner. We go

again this Thursday 6.25pm at Leicester. Megan Nichols is on board again so fingers crossed.

We are up against one of the Queen’s horses and one of Bounty’s jockey friends

Freedom and Wheat was out for us on 10th June at

Wolverhampton with Jane Elliott on board. He travelled like a

dream again and is in great form, but once again he hung left

with something stopping him going forward for the last push.

Michael reported that he came home sore and has now had

some treatment. He is moving well at home. He will be entered

at Leicester next week over 7 furlongs—with a close eye on him

in the coming days before a firm decision on entry is made.

As you can imagine it has been a difficult time for all charities during the lockdown period,

so it will be good to start being able to help our chosen charity Julia’s House again—

hopefully soon.

You may remember Carmela—we met her through

Julia’s House and she loves coming to the yard to see the horses. She is a

very brave little girl and has been highlighted in the media over the lockdown period pro-

ducing videos keeping active and raising awareness as well as fund for Muscular Dystro-

phy. She can be followed on Twitter @chilleryWatson and on Instagram

@carmelachillery-watson— definitely worth having a

look at this for some positive inspiration….
