Dr. Amy Lamb OTD, OTR/L, FAOTA
Dr. Lamb is an Assistant Professor of occupa-tional therapy at Eastern Michigan University, and owner of AJLamb Consulting. Dr. Lamb’s clinical practice spans from school-based pedi-atrics, acute care, and geriatrics. Dr. Lamb’s teaching interests include: health policy and advocacy; management and leadership; assess-ment and intervention in OT practice with adults; and assessment and intervention in OT practice with older adults. Dr. Lamb serves as the current President of AOTA.

AM SESSIONS A. Tammy Bickmore & Bernadette Kroon present: The Self- Contained Village for Individuals with Dementia: A Model for Resident-Centered Care Join us to learn about new models of care designed specifically to help residents with dementia feel safe, stay connected to people with shared interests and backgrounds, engage in meaningful activity, continue doing the things they like to do, and enjoy the last days of their life.
B. Melissa Tilton & Barbara Seguine present: Implementing Evidence into Practice for Occupational Therapy Assistants This course will present a step by step process to allow OTAs to effectively transition knowledge to practice. The course will provide resources and experiences of implementing evidence into prac-tice specifically for OTAs.
C. Sarah Grinder, Erin Murphy & Nandi Jungwirth present: Facilitating Occupation through Go Baby Go and Early Power Mobility in Young Children This course will introduce the Go Baby Go program, which adapts toy ride-on cars for young children with mobility needs. It will also present the latest research around early power mobility for children.

EARLY PM SESSIONS A. Carolyn Dorfman & Kim Davis present: Assembly & Use of the Executive Function Performance Test (EFPT) The EFPT was created by Carolyn Baum and is available free on-line. There is evidence to support its validity and reliability. We will teach participants how to construct and use this assessment in the clinic and in the home.
B. Karen Hefler presents: School Based Strategies: Supporting Sensory Motor, Fine Motor, Visual Perceptual, and Visual Motor Integration Skills in the Classroom This session will discuss Common Core Stand-ards and how they apply to Occupational Therapy and provide strategies to integrate services that address sensory motor, fine motor and visual perceptual motor skills across school settings.
*Students Only C. Katey Howland, Cori Allen and Katy Trow led roundtable: Getting Involved and Occupation Based Practice in Field-work This roundtable will discuss the benefits and importance of participating in state associations, AOTA, and advocacy for our profession on a legis-lative level. The round-table discussion will provide attendees with ideas and strategies to help trans-late classroom learning into the clinic.
LATE PM SESSIONS D. Anna Brown, Kira Personette & Kate Loukas present: Increasing Participation through Sensory Self-Regulation Participants will gain knowledge around relevant sensory equipment for sensory regulation spaces in an educational setting, project implementation strategies, methods to measure regulation, promotion of cultural shifts within an agency and data collection.
E. Anna Guest presents: Empowering Older Adults through Evidence-Based Falls Prevention Programs This short course will highlight the impact of older adult falls in the State of Maine, and give an overview of community-based evidence-based programs currently available.
F. Barbara Williams presents: NBCOT Navigator: The Next Era in Continuing Competency This presentation is a prime opportunity to learn about the NBCOT Navigator® evidence based continuing competency assessment tools which can be used by OTR® and COTA® certificants to verify practice strengths and gauge continuing competency needs across all areas of practice.
