Since Minuteman Press moved toGermantown 2 ½ years ago, great thingshave happened. After spending 25 yearsin Menomonee Falls, they relocated into a10,000 square foot space on Pilgrim Roadjust north of County Line Road (4 timeslarger than their previous shop.) A yearago, they acquired 2 other local printingcompanies, Milwaukee Lithographing &Community Printing, moving bothoperations to their Germantown facility.

The acquisitions nearly tripled theirsize. Since then they have added dyesublimation, custom die cutting, full servicebulk mailing and EDDM, shrink wrapping,perfect binding and more. Last month theypurchased an automated, ultimateprecision, German made, 18 spoolembroidery machine to embellish shirts,caps, jackets, sweatshirts, towels andmuch more in 18 different colors. Whenthey say, “We Can Print Anything…ButMoney” they mean it.

Washington County releases video depicting need for foster families in our communityIn an effort to raise awareness about the need for foster parents in Washington County, the HumanServices Department is taking a new approach. The Foster Care Program recruits, licenses and trainsfoster parents to provide loving and stable homes for children and youth when it is not safe for them toremain in their natural home.The video highlights the staggering fact that since 2017, the need for foster parents in WashingtonCounty has increased by 35%. During that time, 167 children have been removed from their homebecause of abuse or neglect by a primary caretaker, including 36 children in 2019. Most often, thechildren in need of foster homes are teenagers, sibling groups, or children with special needs, suchas mental health, behavioral, or emotional difficulties.For information on becoming a foster parent or to support the foster parent community, contact theWashington County Human Services Department at (262) 365-5100 or [email protected] to Video
