OUR CLUB GIVES YOU THE PARENTS, THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK, SHOP, ATTEND TRAINING/FURTHER EDUCATION OR SNATCH A LITTLE

RELAXATION TIME. SAFE IN THE KNOWLEDGE THAT YOU’RE CHILDREN ARE IN FUN, STIMULATING, SAFE, QUALITY CARE.

• PLEASE NOTE To ensure your children’s safety:• We are fully registered with Ofsted and early years and comply with the ratio

set by Ofsted 1:8 and two members of staff at all times.• Staff are qualified, experienced and trained to encourage safe, engaging,

stimulating active play to help promote development• All staff are police checked for their suitability to work with children• There will always be a trained first aider available• Children are signed out of the club and will only be permitted to leave with the

authorised person.• Policies and procedures are available on request at the club we comply with

the equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practises• To enable all children to have fun in a happy, safe, fun and friendly environment

reasonable behaviour is essential • The club will expect and encourage children to behave responsibly and to

respect both staff and each other, be polite at all times, no bullying, no swearing and respect the property of the club and that of others.

ACTIVITIES

• Activities include: age appropriate games & toys, arts & crafts, sewing, cooking, hama beads, indoor and outdoor sports, board games, construction play, snooker, swing ball, play station, dressing-up, role play, quiet area to read or rest, drawing, painting & colouring, play-dough and much more.

OPENING TIMES AND FEES:

• Breakfast club 7.30 – school start £4.00 per session (£3.50 siblings)

• After school club 3.30 – 6.00 £3.50 for the first hour and £3.00 every hour after

• When transport required add an extra 50p

• Holiday club 8.30 - 6.00 £24.00 per day / £13.00 for half a day

• There is an annual membership fee of £5.00

• The club will not charge for children unable to attend if 48 hours notice is given. Otherwise a cancellation fee of £3.50 will be charged.

Complaints Procedure

We aim to provide the highest quality of care and education for all our children. We believe children and parents are entitled to expect prompt and

careful attention to their needs and wishes. At times concerns may arise which can usually be resolved quickly by an informal approach to the

appropriate staff member. If this does not achieve the desired result the following procedures may be used:

1. Discuss the matter with your child’s key worker. If you feel the situation does not change within the next few sessions you may…

2. Discuss or write a letter to the Manager who will be happy to deal with the situation accordingly.

3. If you feel the situation is not resolved within the nursery to your satisfaction, Ofsted can be contacted on the following address:-

Child Protection We are under obligation to the local social services department to report any incident or suspicion of child abuse, without the

permission of a parent or guardian

Sickness Policy If a child becomes ill whilst in our care, the parent / guardian will be required to collect the child concerned. All children will be assessed as individuals considering the

child’s usual well being.

A child who is suffering from an infectious condition will not be accepted into the setting until after the exclusion period as listed.

For other infections not listed below please see a staff member, so we are able to assess the situation.

If there is any uncertainty concerning an ailment a child may have, the child’s G.P. must be consulted before attending the setting.

Infection Exclusion Period

• Prescribed medication, a child who has been prescribed medication will be unable to attend nursery until 24 hours after first dosage.

• Hand, Foot and Mouth 3 – 5 days or until blisters are completely clear.

• Sickness and Diarrhoea 24 hours after last motion.

• Conjunctivitis Child must see the doctor and cream will be supplied.

• Impetigo Until lesions are crusted/healed.

• Oral Thrush 24 hours after medication has been taken, which has been supplied by the doctor, if child is not eating or drinking due to infection the child can not

return until eating normally.

• Head lice Treatment must be given until hair is lice free.

• Scabies Child can return as soon as he/she is properly treated.

• Chicken pox Minimum of 5 days from onset of rash.

• Mumps Until swelling has gone down usually 5-7 days.

• Measles/German 5 days after onset of rash.
