• Creation of the Andong Center and the yearly Training of Trainers Workshop on IWRM in conjunction with the editions of the KIWW.

• Creation of Brazilian national water training center “Hydrus-Brazil” with two branches: • 1. Sao Paulo for the training of professionals of water &

sanitation services ;

• 2. Brasilia for the training of professionals of basin management.

• Support job creation in the water sector (agriculture, hydropower, WSS)

• Build capacities: vocational training, dedicated sustainable financial mechanisms & the creation and development of national/international water training centers.

• Dedicate 1% of total payroll of WWS services & basin organizations to finance training of staff

• Dedicate at least 5% of the budget of international cooperation project in the water sector for capacity building, to ensure sustainability of the project benefits and gradual autonomy of beneficiaries.

• Promote education, awareness raising and capacity building on water issues to reduce inequalities and mobilize civil society.

• Implement education programs specifically targeting women, children and the youth

• Promote implementation of these recommendations and the assessment and exchange of know-how in professional training and education (incl. via support to capacity building operators and networks developing experience sharing).
