Project Title :- AHU Condensate Recovery
HVAC Operations consumes enormous
quantity of - Power and Water
System of Terminal Building comprises of
Water Cooled Chiller System & Chilled
Circuit , it contains 103 no’s Air Handling
Units and FCUs
Instead of draining out the condensate ,we
recovered it and feed to Chiller condenser-
Cooling tower circuit
Hereby helping in saving Water and
improving Chiller Efficiency.
“A general thumb rule is that 0.1 to 0.3
gallons(US) of condensate water produced
for every Ton-hour “
Advantages of INNOVATIVE Solution:- Saving 36 KL Water / Day (Temp 20 ℃)
Chilled water potential in increasing chiller
efficiency
Intangible Benefits :-
Reducing water treatment chemical cost
Savings Achieved: Annual Electricity Saving :-2.79 Lakh kWh-
6.7 Lakh INR(Dec17 -March18)
Annual Water Saving 13 140 KL –
8 Lakh INR (Dec17 –Mar18)Idea Source :-Energy Review –EnCOn Team
Replication Potential :- Yes

EnCon Innovative Project 02 – Micro Hydro Turbine
Project Title :- Water Turbine
In process of transferring rain water
from reservoir to open wells (Distance
8 Km) , Pipelines of the Destination
Reservoirs were getting burst due to
extreme pressure in the line
Hydel Micro Turbine installed in
Bypass line to save pipelines &
Generate Power
Constraint :-
Pipeline Bursting and Leakage
Wastage of water
Benefits After Turbine Installation:- Pipe Damage Issue resolved
Power Generation of 264 kWh enough
for Lighting Nearby Pump House
Intangible Benefits :-
Reduction in Water wastage &
Maintenance Manpower as Pipe
Damaging Resolved Savings Achieved:264 kWh
Idea Source :-Continuous Pipe Failure ,Incurring maintenance cost & Aim to utilize the free Natural Resource
Replication Potential :-Rare , If same Geographical Condition is present than SURE GO
12
EnCon Innovative Project 03 – Chiller Plant Optimizer
Project Title :- Chiller Plant Optimizer
Airport has huge requirement of HVAC
& it’s the main energy guzzler of all the
Electrical Load in the Terminal
Installed SCADA based Chiller Plant
Optimizer for 7 No's of Chillers & their
respective Cooling towers
It optimizes the temperature by
switching chillers ON/OFF by RLA
Savings Achieved: 4.5 Lakh Units – 3.3 Million (INR) Annually
Idea Source :- Energy Review – EnCon Team
Replication Potential :- Yes
13
EnCon Innovative Project 04 – Electronically Commutated Fans
Project Title :- Electronically Commuted Fans
HVAC System consist of 103 No's of Air Handling Units which comprise of 402 No's of Supply & Return Fans
Fans with AC 3 Phase induction motor are now replaced with Brushless DC Motor
Constraint with Previous System :-
More Power Consumption Ageing Factor
Freedom Achieved with New System :-
Less Power consumption without impacting output
Low Maintenance Savings Achieved: 8.9 Lakh Units – 6.5 Million (INR)
Idea Source:- Energy Review 10 Year old Equipment –Maintenance as well as High Energy Consumption
Replication Potential :- Yes
