THOUGHTS TO CONSIDER !!!
PAGE 2 FRSA FLASH
Human beings were not created to exist alone. They need meaningful relationships in their lives.
Mankind longs for acceptance and hates rejection. Opportunities arise each day to enrich someone's
life through acceptance, warmth and kindness.
Peter DeVries believed in the value of relationships. He was an American editor and novelist. He
was especially known for his satiric wit. DeVries was once described as probably the funniest writer
on religion ever. His writings reveal his desire for kind and loving relationships.
"We are not primarily put on this earth to see through one another, but to see one another through."
Who needs you to help see them through a situation? Who needs you to replace rejection with a
sense of acceptance? You have opportunities each day to create a better life for someone. Enrich
those lives with kindness and loving affirmation. The world will be a better place because of you!

If you believe your condition is serious or life-threatening, call “911” or visit the nearest ED.
Behavioral Health Concerns If you or someone you know has already attempted suicide and there is a
life-threatening emergency, the first response should be to call 911. For other urgent behavioral health
concerns, specialists are available during normal duty hours (Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm) at the
Fort Drum/USA MEDDAC Behavioral Health Department (Building P36) for walk-in appointments. During
non-duty hours, the Acute Care Clinic at Guthrie (Building P11050) has behavioral health personnel
available for urgent mental health concerns from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. After 8:00 pm, persons with urgent
behavioral health concerns should contact Samaritan Medical Center at (315)785-4516 or Mobile Crisis
