• It is in a computer lab McKee Fisk 203A so you can try out the new Bb system and sign up for ETS Criterion.

• This meeting is NOT REQUIRED, but you can earn up to 15 extra credit points for attending.

• Interdisciplinary – study across disciplines

• Art Studies – studies in four art forms –visual art, theatre, music, dance

• Arts in Education – how do the arts apply to today’s classroom?

Student Learning Outcomes

1. Summarize and compare research and practice regarding the integration of the visual and performing arts into the public school curriculum.

2. Identify strands, content standards, and vocabulary in the VAPA (Visual and Performing Arts) California State Framework for all four art forms.

3. Process and respond to sensory information through language and skills unique to the visual and performing arts in all four art forms.

Student Learning Outcomes4. Explore and evaluate online resources for visual and performing

arts.

5. Create media presentations on selected topics related to Visual and Performing Arts.

6. Demonstrate mastery of key concepts and vocabulary in all four of the Visual and Performing arts as required for teacher preparation by the CCTC (California Commission on Teacher Credentialing). For a complete list of these concepts (click here)
