R5 Robot
The R5 Robot is coming together nicely, with omni-wheels and a wooden chassis cut from the water jets from the engineering building itself. Coding was turbulent at first, but hurdles have been overcome and am making fine progress on the robot.

Freescale Cup Competition
The competition is one where students build robots to complete a lap on a track as fast as they can by using a camera to follow the line in the middle of the speedway.
A few robots are already complete and those teams are helping others with their projects. Teams were given kits donated from Freescale that came with the chassis and microprocessor.

Social Events Our first meeting was a great success by attracting a
crowd of more than 35 people. We attracted and introduced IEEE to a lot of new faces and plan to have more members in the future.
