pancake supper

The Mason Lions Club held its annualpancake supper on the evening ofJanuary 28, 2014, at the Mason HighSchool cafeteria. The supper was one ofthe must successful in the clubs history.The monies raised are going toscholarships for local students. The eventwas spearheaded by Mason Lion andDistrict 2-A1 1st VDG John Gammill andwas enjoyed by all.

Have you seen the article in the February Lionsmagazine? “Pajama Party Queen Reigns OverDistrict.” Canton Lion Member Benja Mize readthe article and thought “We can do that.” Shemade an announcement at a weekly meeting foreveryone to bring pajamas to the next meeting tobe donated to the ABC Room, a local organizationthat provides items for children that have beentaken from a home most of the time with only theclothes they are wearing. The response wasgreat! 44 pairs of pajamas of all sizes werebrought to the meeting and delivered to SharonStehsel with the ABC Room. We had a great“Pajama Party.”

This is the Delegation Hotel for the Lions ofMD-2 Texas and is the least expensive of allthe delegation hotels. All major activitiesfor the Butler Campaign will be conductedfrom this hotel including the rallies that willtake place most evenings of the convention.

This is an opportunity for you to come andrepresent your club at our InternationalConvention and make a real difference andimpact on how our Association operates.

The hotel is located approximately 1.7 milesfrom the Metro Toronto Convention Centreand the Air Canada Centre. Bus service willbe provided to both sites of the convention.

L Metro Toronto ConventionCentre is the location for general conventionactivities. (Registration, Displays andExhibits, Credentials and Voting).

L Air Canada Centre is thelocation for the Plenary Sessions and theInternational Show.

This is the 29th AnnualAward presented by the Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce. The Angleton Leo Club held their Charter Night onDecember 6, 2013 at the Angleton Recreation Center.Officers were installed by State Leo Chairman ElizabethBumguardner. The Seadrift Lions will host a Crock Pot Cook-Off onFebruary 22, 2014 at the Seadrift Elementary Schoolfrom 4:00-6:00 pm. Contact [email protected] forentry form and rules. There will be 5 categories (Soups,Chili, Meat, Casserole, and Dessert) and the entry fee is$10 per category.

Lions Club Conducts Eye Exams with Pancake

Breakfast Feb 8th

The Kemah Lions Club came out to support Friendswood Lions Club during their Pancake Breakfast on Feb the 8th. Served breakfast to all and held eye exams with the revolutionary Spot system. 32 exams were conductedOf adults and children. All childrenhad great eye sight 18 Adults neededfurther treatment from their doctor.Half the 50/50 was donated to theEye Bank of Texas on behalf of theKemah Lions Club! Thank you!
