Texas Hold'em Poker is played with a standard 52 card deck. A distinctive feature is the use of five common cards (a buy-in), that is, five open cards ly-ing on the game table and being common to all players. Each player receives two cards from the dealer - known as hole cards - and make up your starting hand. Each round of Texas poker begins with each player receiving two hole cards. The winner is the player who, after a few betting rounds, can use his hole cards to make the best five card poker hand

Step 2. Poker Hand Rankings in Texas poker.

The player who can make the highest five-card hand of seven cards (five community cards plus two hole cards) wins the pot. How this hand is as-sembled does not matter - it can have four community cards and one face down, or three community cards and both face down. Sometimes the best hand is represented by five community cards. If this happens, the pot is di-vided among all Texas poker players. What never changes is that the hand is always five cards. For example, if both players have a pair of aces, then the highest side card will determine the winner.

Step 3. Who has the winning hand in Texas poker?

An example of winning hands:1. Player A has a pair of aces and a king as his high side card.2. Player B also has a pair of aces, but his side card is a queen. This means that he loses to Player A.3. Player C has a three of a kind. His pocket nines (face down pair of cards are also called pocket cards) together with a nine from the community cards give him a strong three-card hand. He's in a good position!4. Wait a minute! Player D has an even stronger hand! Using nines, tens and jacks, he can make a straight (eight to queen)5. Finally, Player E reveals his hand. With his diamonds hand, he uses three diamonds from the table and makes a flush for the pot!

Step 4. The dealer's button in Texas poker.

The button determines the order of the game. This is a special marker with an arrow that turns between the players before each hand. The player to the left of the button always has the first word in every betting round. It is logical that the player sitting directly in front of the button makes his last move. This player has a huge advantage because he sees and evaluates the moves of other players before making his decision. In the illustration above, Player A goes first, Player B goes second, and Play-er C on the button goes last.

Step 5. What are the blinds in Texas poker?

After the players are dealt their hole cards, the blinds begin. These are small binding rates that ensure that each individual bank contains a small amount. The blinds are only posted before the first betting round. In Texas Hold'em, these small bets are made by the two players to the left of the button (in the illustration above, players A and B). The blinds are mandatory. The obligation to post the blinds passes with the button. The blinds are always posted by the two players to the left of the button and their size depends on how big you are playing.

Step 6. The structure of the betting circle in Texas poker.

When the blinds are posted, trading begins. The first betting round is also called the pre-flop round. In this circle, only hole cards participate in the game. This is followed by a trade with additional community cards (turn). Finally, the river is held - the final round of betting. At this point, all five community cards are on the table.

Step 7. Time to act!

Time to make a decision! The player has five options for the move - call, bet, check, fold or raise. Here's what they are in Texas Hold'em:Calling is equalising your bet with the previous one. Bet means a bet of a certain amount of money.Check (zero bet) - can be made only if there are no bets in the game. In this case, the turn goes to the next player.Passing is discarding cards and leaving the current bank without ending the trade. Raise (increase in bet) is an increase in the size of the bet.

Step 8. Some additional information about Texas poker betting process.

It is important to remember that the betting round continues until each player compares the highest bet or passes. When the circle ends, all the bet chips are added to the total pot and a new betting round begins. As mentioned, the player to the left of the button starts the trade again first.Remember that the blind counts as a move in the pre-flop (first) betting round, that is, the third player from the button moves first, since the first and second players are forced to post the blind.

Step 9. What are the table limits in Texas poker?

Each poker table has its own limit set. This limit determines the size of the forced bet (blind). In a $ 1 / $ 2 game, the blind must be $ 0.50 for the small blind (for the first player) and $ 1 for the big blind (for the second player). Remember that the size of the blinds is different. Usually the small blind is half the size of the big blind. For example, in a $ 3 / $ 6 game, the big blind is $ 3 and the small blind is $ 1.50. This is very important for choosing the right level of play. Think about it - if you have $ 100, then you shouldn't play at the $ 10 / $ 20 level, as you may have to bet all your chips before you get any good card.

Step 10. Texas Holdem No-Limit

This is the most popular version of Hold'em. In No-Limit Hold'em, each play-er can bet or raise at any time, an amount determined only by the number of his chips. Going all-in, he bets all his chips in one step. If someone, even with more chips in the stack, raises it, the first player does not automatically lose, but can only win an amount equal to the number of his own chips. In Limit Hold'em, bets are capped at the blind level. For example, at the $ 3 / $ 6 limit, the first bet should be $ 3. A raise would mean an additional $ 3 bet - no more, no less.
