John White
John White began his career as an English teacher in New Jersey. After working with Teach For America, including as Executive Director of TFA-Chicago, John was asked by NYC Chancellor Joel Klein to join his senior leadership team. As Deputy Chancellor of Talent, Labor, and Innovation, White launched the Innovation Zone, a network of 100 21st Century schools using technology to personalize learning. White became Superintendent of the Louisiana Recovery School District in 2011, where he launched his "12 commitments” including overhauling failing schools in the RSD and establishing a unified enrollment system. White was named State Superintendent of education in 2012 and soon thereafter launched Louisiana Believes, a plan to put every child on the path toward college and career.
Michael Horn
Michael B. Horn is the co-founder and executive director of the education practice of Innosight Institute, a non-profit think tank devoted to applying the theories of disruptive innovation to solve problems in the social sector. In this capacity, Horn leads a team that educates policymakers and the public on how to encourage innovation in education. In 2008, Horn co-authored Disrupting Class: How Disruptive Innovation Will Change the Way the World Learns (McGraw-Hill) with Harvard Business School Professor Clayton M. Christensen and Curtis W. Johnson. BusinessWeek named the book one of the 10 Best Innovation & Design Books of 2008. Tech&Learning magazine named Horn to its list of the 100 most important people in the creation and advancement of the use of technology in education.

Lisa Duty, Ph.D.
As Senior Director of Innovation at KnowledgeWorks, Lisa Duty most recently created and led the Ohio Digital Learning Campaign, resulting in digital learning policies supporting an array of online and blended options for all students – including whole-school blended models across public and charter-public school lines. Lisa defined and supported the establishment of the Ohio Digital Learning Task Force in law, helping craft its original framework and strategy to support the expansion of digital learning. She is currently designing and piloting a new school model that fuses blended learning with collective impact. Dubbed “Oasis,” the pilot debuted in EdWeek September 2012.
