TETRiS high performance insulation boards replace concrete blocks in a beam and block floor, to produce a super low U-value structural ground floor in a fraction of the time.

TETRiS ultra high compressive strength boards are made from 100% recyclable extruded polystyrene. They are lightweight , easy to handle, strong, robust and are able to withstand foot

traffic during the build process. TETRiS ‘T’ blocks have a 75mm upper section that sits on the beams, providing a constant design level whatever the U-value required.

Email the foundation/ground floor plans along with the U-value required to [email protected]

Using the latest software, Cellecta’s team of experienced technicians will design the beam layout to suit the specific foundation plan and U-value required.

An email quotation will be supplied for the TETRiS insulation components (T-blocks, gap strips and vertical edge strips), along with a cost for the pre-stressed concrete beams, closer blocks and slip bricks.

Each plot specific lot will then be manufactured and delivered to site on the agreed day, along with a laminated layout plan.

The TETRiS flooring is supplied in plot specific quantities and is quick and easy to order:

Beams set at centres that do not match a “T” block use TETRiS gap strip and concrete block to bridge the gap.

Where required install T300 TETRiSblocks and cover the enre floor.

Fill the gaps at end of beams with concrete closer blocks.

Build up foundaon walls to desired height & install a damp proof course below the beams.

Using the beam layout provided carefully place the beams across the floor at appropriate centres.

In accordance with the layout plans start with one full length block.TETRiS

(A)The Code For Sustainable Homes

Creditscan be gained from three of the nine assessment categories detailed in The Code*:

Category 1 - Energy Ene 1 15 Code credits are available for improving the DER over the TER. eg. ground floor U-values improved from

2 20.25W/m K to 0.16W/m K.

Category 3 - Materials Mat 1Adopting a construction listed on the BRE website: www.thegreenguide.org.uk, which incorporates one of Cellecta’s insulation products can result in up to 15 Code credits being awarded.

Category 6 - Pollution Pol 11 Code credit is awarded when all the insulation materials in the elements listed below only use substances that have a global warming potential (GWP) of < 5, eg. TETRiSblocks: Roofs: including loft hatch Walls: internal and external, including lintels and all insulation

products Floors: including ground and upper floors Hot water cylinders, pipe insulation and other thermal stores Cold water storage tanks

Incorporating Cellecta’s TETRiS high performance flooring system into the construction will help reduce the building’s impact on the environment and enable builders and developers to gain Code for Sustainable Homes credits (CSH).

Part L of the Building Regulations (1)To comply with Part L of the Building Regulations each floor’s

thermal performance needs to be assessed individually in accordance with EN ISO 13370: 2007.In addition, for SAP the linear thermal transmittance of the external wall to ground floor junction needs to be established. This can be achieved by either adopting the value from an accredited

construction detail, or by calculating the value of specific detail to be constructed in accordance with ISO 10211: 2007. Determining the U-value of the Floor 1. Health and SafetyTETRiS is made from extruded polystyrene which is chemically inert and require no special treatment. Copies of COSHH data is available upon request.

Fire classificationCellecta extruded polystyrene insulation boards contain a fire retardant additive to inhibit accidental ignition. However, plastic foams are combustible and may burn rapidly if exposed to intense fire. Euroclass E in accordance with BS EN 13501

PackagingTETRiS is delivered to site shrink wrapped, on polystyrene bearers, in plot specific quantities.

On-site handling & storage When storing TETRiS boards on site, it is important to protect them from long-term exposure to direct sunlight, otherwise surface degradation may occur. To reduce this, packs should be covered with a light-coloured sheeting. TETRiS are resistant to attack by mould and microbial growth.
