Pre-/Post-Assessments: Grammar

To the teacher:

Provide 30-45 minutes for the administration of the grammar test, both pre and post. Be sure to give the pretest prior to any lessons you have planned on teaching grammar in your unit. Score the test and mail original (or copies) of pretest student papers to: Joyce Vantassel-Baska, 6829Derby Run Way, Gainesville, VA. 20155. My mother is 90. She is taking university courses. She plans to graduate in 2 more years. Her learning pattern is an inspiration to all of us. We are younger. Yet she is ahead of us in desire to learn and grow in understanding her world. My niece is only 3 years old. She can recite her alphabet. She also can read simple books. She also talks in complete sentences. Her early pattern of learning is also astounding. It makes me wonder what she will be able to do in school. Learning is truly powerful at any age.
