Testing requirements for CSC‐Certification of Heavy Load Platform
Test 1: stacking
‐Platform is to be placed on 4 pads, one under each corner casting.
‐Each corner casting is to be loaded with a load of 942kN (all 4 simultaneously). Alternatively, a test
were 2 corners
at
the
endframe
are
tested
is
also
allowed
(see
left
figure
below)
‐The force is to be applied by other corner castings (or similar shaped objects) which are shifted
longitudinally 38mm and 25.4mm in lateral direction.
Test 2:
Lifting
from
top
corner
fittings
‐Platform is to be lifted by its four topcorners. The force applied is to be in strict vertical direction.
‐Platform is to be loaded with a mass of 2*R‐T=5.1t
‐Platform needs to be suspended during 5 minutes before it’s lowered onto the ground
Test 3: Lifting from bottom corner fittings
‐Platform is to be lifted from its 4 bottom corners.
‐longitudinal angles between cables and vertical are to be 45°
‐Platform is to be loaded with 5.1t (=2*R‐T)

Test 4: Longitudinal Restraint
‐Platform is to be secured at one end against longitudinal sliding(side indicated with blue arrows)
‐Platform is unloaded
‐Each corner of the other end is loaded with 5.1t (total is 10.2t).
‐Test
is
performed
one
time
with
the
loads
towards
the
securing
points(platform
in
compression)
and
one time with loads away from the securing points(platform in tension)
Test 8: Floor strength
‐Test to be done with vehicle that drives around on the platform.
‐Load per wheel is 2.73t
‐distance between wheels centers about 760mm
‐Contact surface max 142cm² per wheel
Test 9: Transverse rigidity
‐Platform
is
to
be
unloaded
‐Platform is to be secured on 1 point against transversal sliding(see blue arrow), other points
probably will need vertical and lateral support.
‐1 topcorner is to loaded with 150kN
‐Only 1 end needs to be tested
Test 10: Longitudinal rigidity
‐Same
as
transversal
rigidity
but
in
longitudinal
direction.
‐Load is only 75kN instead of 150kN
