    Test Corrections: Unit V

    2) For this question I did not chose the correct choice, which is A, because I thought that 75% wastoo low for the peasants percentage. This led me to choice E, 97%, which I now realize is way toohigh making E incorrect and choice A the only correct answer.

    9) When answering this question I leaned to answer C, remembering reading about new technologyin Chapter 18. Now looking back I realize that the new technology had nothing to do with thearmy of revolutionary France, making C the wrong choice. For this question E has to be thecorrect choice because Napoleon spread patriotism all across France.

    12) My answer for this question, choice B is incorrect because the peasant uprisings happened after1789. Eliminating C, D, and E, I now know that the answer must be choice A, because it was thearistocrats who were against the absolute monarchy before the Revolution began.

    15) While answering this question I was going between choices B and C, ending up deciding on B, but after reading the question over I realize I got was looking too much into the document and notrealizing that choice C was a basic fact. Answer C is the correct answer because Peter the Great

tried to Westernize Russia.25) For this question, when I saw the words Legislative Assembly I thought of the third phase which

is why I chose answer B, Republic. After looking over the choices I now realize it was theConstitutional Monarchy which the Legislative Assembly set up, not the Republic, making choiceC the correct answer.

    26) I kept going back and forth between B and D for this question and decided to go against my gutand choose B, even though I know that it was Danton who wanted to expand the French borders, choice D.

    28) When I thought of Jean-Baptiste Colbert I thought that he was against the laissez faire policywhich led me to my choice A, that he raised the tariffs. After looking through my notes I nowrealize that Colbert actually wanted to enhance the quality of French export goods, meaning thatchoice A was wrong and choice C was the correct answer.

    40) For this question I chose E as an educated guess because I really didnt remember studyinganything on the groups that supported the Committee of Public Safety. Now looking back throughthe textbook I know that it was those who were concerned about high food prices that supportedthe Committee, making choice C the correct answer.

    41) While answering this question I thought that there were other events between the Reign of Terrorand Robespierres death so I cho se choice B. I realize now that when picking that answer I didnot notice that Robespierre was already in control during the Reign of Terror. Knowing this I nowrealize that choice A is the only correct response.

    44) After eliminating three choices for this question I was stuck between B and C and took aneducated guess because I couldnt remember the Cult of the Supreme Being during the test. Ichose Danton because I thought Robespierre was nt the founder of the religion. Now I know thatRobespierre is in fact the founder of the Cult of the Supreme Being, making choice C correct.

    45) For this question I made the careless error of circling the wrong scan-tron bubble because theright choice, choice B is what I put on my test but, for some reason, not on my scan-tron.
