Sport News

Congratulations to the six boys that attended the

cricket trials Ganmain Sportsground last Friday. All

boys demonstrated excellent sportsmanship and

put in a fabulous effort. We were lucky to have

Greg McLay run the trials for our zone. Greg is a

talent specialist and coach for Cricket NSW and

has played professionally for the NSW team. The

decision for the squad will be announced as soon

as possible.

P & C News

Presentation Night is next Thursday, 12th

December at 7:00pm. Can everyone please bring a

plate of supper to share afterwards.

Community News

Coolamon Library

The Summer Reading Challenge will take place

over the summer months. This year the library is

offering lucky dip prizes for children. Every time

children borrow items during the months of

December and January they simply get to

choose from our lucky dip basket. Lots of prizes

will be on offer.

Library New Operating Hours.

The library is now opening on Mondays – this is

very exciting news for our community. The

opening hours are as follows

Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm

Saturday – 9.00am -12.00pm.

Food for Fines

The Library will be running our “Food for Fines”

promotion again this year. This offers our borrowers

a chance to clear their overdue fines and assist

those in need. All food items will be donated to

our local charity St Vincent de Paul.

Storytime

Our next storytime will be Friday, 6th December @

10.30am, it’s about – “Hair and Hats”. Then the

next week will be our final storytime for the year.

This will be held Friday, 13th December @ 10.30am

with a very special guest appearing. There will

also be a small party to follow to finish up for the

year. Everyone is most welcomed.

Book Club

Form a group of up to ten individuals and

nominate a group leader, pay the $400 club

membership, find a venue and you can begin

your own book club. The library provides ten

copies of one title plus background notes and

discussion questions. Clubs meet from February to

November reading ten titles over the year. For
