CAPERS Students, Staff and Parents have all been incredibly busy preparing for our school’s performance in CAPERS. The Creative Arts in Public Education Regional Spectacular will once again be an exciting opportunity for our school to demonstrate the achievements of our students as they participate in a regional event at the TRECC featuring approximately 2000 performers. Thank you to our dedicated staff who have devoted countless hours into preparing costumes and props for our performance. Thanks also to Fiona’s Minibus Service for once again doing such an excellent job in meeting our transport needs to and from CAPERS. Bunnings have also provided valuable support to our school in donating equipment and supplies for our performance. Thank you Bunnings. New Students Welcome to our new students who have started at Bullimbal recently. The new students have been placed into classes as follows: Paddy & Ethan – Class 1; Ella – Class 2; Alakai – Class 3 and Alisha – Class 4. Later this term our Kindergarten Transition Program will commence which will welcome an additional four students who will commence Kindergarten at Bullimbal in 2018.

Assisted School Travel Program Local Staff involved in the Assisted School Travel Program recently undertook training updates to ensure they continue to provide outstanding service to your children and this invaluable program. As a result of this training we have been requested to provide some reminders regarding requirements and responsibilities for parents and carers in participating in the Assisted School Transport Program. A fact sheet is attached to this newsletter for your information. Some important points include:

- Please ensure you are prompt having your child ready for the bus. Due to time constraints in keeping to a strict timetable, can you please have children out to the bus within 3 minutes of the arrival of the bus.

- An adult is required to be present when

dropping your child to the bus and again in the afternoon when your child is returned home.

- Help your child get into the vehicle, ensure your child is safely seated with seat belts done up accordingly to the road rules.

- Call the driver and school if your child is going to be absent from school.

- Contact the school if your details or circumstances change such as work commitments, address or phone numbers or respite.
