Uniform
Now that spring is here it can be a bit tricky to tell what the weather is doing. For the remainder of this term students will have the option of wearing either their winter or summer uniform. Students have been told to make this decision based on the weather ...and with parent assistance!
In other ‘Uniform News’, we now have an example of both the girls skort and culottes for those interested to come and have a look at in the office. Should you like to add your vote you can either do so in person at the office, or send in a note clearly stating which of the options you prefer and we will tally them up. Both are actually very similar and I think will be a welcome addition to our uniform for the girls come summer time. Lowes stock each style for the same price of $27.95.
The winter girls pant option, tab tie and a new hat option are also available for viewing. If you intend to vote, please do so by the end of this term so we can finalise numbers prior to the P&C ratifying the new addition at the next meeting.
Thank you to Mrs Rasmussen for her time in ordering and collecting the various styles for us to have available to display.
Thanks Ms Wyman
Our Tournament of the Minds participants thanked Ms Wyman, on behalf of the P&C, at our last assembly. Ms Wyman was being appreciated for the time she spent enabling our students to enter this event and supporting them on the day they competed. I would also like to acknowledge the lovely way Asher spoke when thanking Ms Wyman.
Oztag
Good luck to our students who are representing our school at the Oztag Gala Day tomorrow. I hope the sun shines for you and you have a great day! The school has paid the team entry fees, however, please bring your payment for the bus if you have not paid this to the office yet. Thanks to Mr Voysey for organising this event.

l Voluntary Contributions and the Stage
Thank you to the families that have already paid their voluntary contributions of $60 per family. So far we have collected $3300. Voluntary contributions are being put towards the purchase of a stage under our new COLA. If any of our families are builders and can assist with ideas or give us a quote on what such a construction will be, that would be great! We are required to get a number of quotes and can only employ licenced trades who have up to date insurances etc. Please contact the office either if you can help or if you have voluntary contributions you are yet to pay to further support this project.
ICAS Update
The ICAS site has experienced difficulty and schools have been unable to access the site or register students for the on-line tests. Consequently, ICAS have now extended the test dates. The writing test needs to be completed by Wednesday but all other tests are now due for completion by September 20. Due to the technical issues, tests will be conducted during school hours this year.
If the site is functioning correctly, our planned schedule for tests is:
Monday 9 / Wednesday 11 - Writing Tuesday – 10 Science and Digital Technologies (separate assessments) Monday 16 - English Tuesday 17 – Spelling Bee Thursday 18 - Maths Friday - Catch up
