Well it has been a very wet week and I was glad to hear that our families were safe and only experience minor damages during the torrential rain.

Volunteers for Colour Run As you are aware our annual colour run is on Friday 13 March at 12:30pm. A note will be going out next Monday to ask for volunteers to assist on the day. We are also looking for anyone that is willing to assist with face painting and selling show bags on the day.

PBL Awards We are now handing out PBL awards at our Friday assembly to students who are demonstrating that they are safe, respectful and an active participant at school. These awards are chosen by the class teacher and provided to students who have been showing positive behaviours in the classroom, on the playground or when representing the school.

Fencing On Thursday I had a meeting with representatives from the Department of Education, along with a member of the fencing company to discuss our fencing. I am pleased to let you know that this has been approved and will be going ahead in the coming months. I know the students will enjoy this as they will have access to levelled play areas. Canteen Volunteers

Thanks to all the volunteers who are assisting with our canteen this year. As we have our swimming carnival, district

carnival and a few other interruptions, we will be looking at opening the canteen in March. Swimming Carnival – Parent Relay As a part of the swimming carnival we will be holding a race between the teachers and parents/community members. If you would like to participate in the relay team, please let the school know or alternatively it can be sorted out on the day but just remember to bring your swimmers! Meet the Teacher Night We will be holding our Meet the Teacher Night on Monday 2 March. P & C News Welcome Back Parent and kids to 2020, We are requesting volunteers to open the school canteen Tuesday and Thursday mornings. As soon as we get enough parent helpers the canteen will be open for busi-ness. Notes went home this week or see the office for more information. We will also be having a colour run this term. This is a FABULOUS event, lots of fun and excitement. Money raised from this event will allow us to purchase a class set of laptops for the students. The note will go home shortly and further information is avail-able from the office. School banking day is Tuesday. If a student deposits just $1 each week for 10 weeks continuously the CBA donates $5 to the school!! So the more we save the better!! The next meeting is TUESDAY 3
