TENTATIVE GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS & SCHEDULE FOR 2nd and 3rd COUNSELING OF M.SC. MATHEMATICS DATED 11.10.2021

(MONDAY)

SCHEDULE & GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Admission will be done as per COVID guidelines issued by the Govt. Wearing mask and keeping social distance is mandatory for all students reporting for admission.

2. Eligibility Criteria: B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons.) / B.A. / B.A. (Hons.) with 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates of Haryana only) with Mathematics as regular subject at graduation level from a recognized Univ./Institute.

1. If candidate has not passed his/her qualifying exam from a College/University Located in Haryana, then he/she must have a domicile/residence Certificate of Haryana, issued by the Competent Authority.

2. All originals documents will be required at the time of Manual /Institute Level counseling for verification.

3. Candidate must have to attend the counseling physically and also to present themselves in person before the admission committee for the allotment of seat. Physically attend the counseling.

4. Eligibility of the candidate for the admission is subjected to verification and submission of required documents at the time of admission.

5. If a candidate reports late for the document verification during counseling, he/she will be eligible only for the available seats at his/her turn after verification of documents.

Candidates has to deposit the fee amount Rs. 34,650/-. Fee can be deposited in the form of Demand Draft (drawn in favour of “Registrar J.C.Bose UST,YMCA Faridabad”) on the spot on offering the seat for admission. Payment can also be made by Debit/Credit card with applied charges.

Tie Breaking Instructions Admission in M.Sc. Mathematics program will be on the basis of merit of entrance

examination. Criteria for merit will be marks obtained by the candidate in the entrance

examination conducted by the University.

1. If, the marks of candidates in the entrance test are same, then candidates having higher percentage in the qualifying examination (Graduation-all Semesters or Grand Total) will have higher merit. In case the qualifying examination result is not declared then the candidates having higher percentage upto pre-qualifying examination (Graduation) will be having higher merit. B.Sc. Hons. candidate will be given 5% weightage in tie break.

2. In case, percentage of marks in qualifying exam (graduation) is same, then the

applicant senior in age (as per date of birth) will have higher merit.

3. In case, applicants get same percentage in qualifying exam and have same date of birth, then the applicant having higher percentage in 10+2 or equivalent will have higher merit.

4. In case, the applicants has CGPA in qualifying and other exams, and formula for conversion of percentage of marks is not mentioned, percentage of marks may be calculated by multiplying CGPA (out of 10) with 9 (i.e. %age of marks = 9 x CGPA).

5. Actual seat allocation may be done as per reservation policy of the Haryana Government.
