Past Tense Present TenseFuture Tense

Types Of Tenses

The Tenses Formed with The Second Form Of The Verb.

The Negative Is Formed With Did Not + First Form Of Verb.

The Interrogative Is Formed With did + subject + first form Of Verb.

For Eg: I Met Him Yesterday.

Simple Past Tense

The Tenses Formed By Was\Were + First Form + ing.

Negative Is Formed By Putting Not After Was\ Were.

Interrogative Is Formed By Putting Was\Were Before The Subject.

For Eg: I Was Playing In The Garden.

Past Continous Tense

This tense is formed with had + third form of verb.

Negative is formed by putting not after had.

Interrogative is formed by putting had before the subject.

For eg: At 11 pm all shops had closed.

Past Perfect Tense

This Tense is formed with had been + first form + ing.

Negative Is Formed By Putting not after had.

Interrogative is formed by putting had before the subject.

For eg: He had tried many times to call her.

Past Perfect Continuous Tense

S or es is added for third person singular.

Negative is formed with do not + first form.

Interrogative is formed with do\does + subject + first form of verb.

For eg: I play in the park.

For eg: It has been raining since 6 pm.

Present Perfect Continuous Tense

This tense is formed by using will\shall + first form of verb.

The negative is formed by adding not after will\shall.

The interrogative is formed by putting will\shall before the subject.

For eg: I shall return home late.

This tense is formed by will\shall + be + Ing form of verb.

The negative is formed by adding not after will\shall.

For eg: The plumber will be coming soon.

The negative is formed by using not after will\shall.

The interrogative is formed by putting will\shall before the subject.

For eg: Next month, Sheila will have bought an apartment.

This tense is formed by using will\shall + have + been + ing form of verb.

For eg: Mr. Smith will have been teaching English in this school for fifteen years.
