TEMS Visualization
Set Up GPEH recording
From OSS, Performance Initiate Data Collection WCDMA RAN Measurements
Under General Performance Profiles
Administration Add Profile
GPEH
Name (test in this case)
Choose either RNC or RBS (RNC in this case)
Choose RNC
Choose Cells
Choose the messages that will be recorded
For this case we choose following messages
• RRC_RRC_CONNECTION_REQUEST RRC_RRC_CONNECTION_REJECT RRC_RRC_CONNECTION_RELEASE RRC_MEASUREMENT_REPORT RRC_MEASUREMENT_CONTROL RRC_HANDOVER_FROM_UTRAN_FAILURE RRC_CELL_CHANGE_ORDER_FROM_UTRAN_FAILURE

Choose IMSI Fraction(please see notes)
Schedule the recording and hit finish
Create Cell file for Visualization
Run WRAN explorer
Choose export Configuration under the RNC
Choose Radio Topology
Hit finish
FTP the file from following path /var/opt/ericsson/nms_umts_wran_bcg/files/export
FTP the file
RUN TEMS V choose ToolsCell file creator
Hit add and choose the bulk CM file that was just exported.
Specify output file location and make sure output file is CEL format, and hit OK.
Once output file is created go to folder and open the file.
Once you open the file you will see LAT/LONG antenna beamwidth and antenna direction is missing and fill these columns out.
Run TEMS V again1-Add the CM bulk file2-Specify output file location but this time XML format3- Choose the cell file we just created for “select reference cell file”4- Hit Ok and you should have the cell file
Using TEMS V
Go to Import GPEH files
Select GPEH files and output path
Choose GPEH files from Local drive
Set Output Destination
Next screen select Cell file and correct time zone
Select call filters
TEMS V will start parsing the data in a few seconds
Once the parsing is done, go to file and open TEMS V database
Select the database file and open it
Choose Windows Show Summary This gives us summary of all the events during the
recording period
Cell list gives all the cell that was recorded
Phone list gives all the phones that were recorded
Windows Show Map will shows the cells.
Add Map Info TAB files from here
Choosing a sector will show all the neighbors
Right click on a sector gives several choice for that sector
Choose Known Dropped call count in order see drops per cell
Windows Show Measurement will show data
Windows Show Call list will shows the cells.
Double click on one of the calls from call list group will show detail about that call
Windows Show Distribution Chart will shows chart for the recording
Windows Show Scatter Chart will compare two values. (Below RSCP1 vs EcNo1)
Windows Show IRAT analysis will show info about IRAT. Below recording was for all border cell in New Orleans/ Baton Rouge.
Graph shows that most of the IRAT was triggered due to EcNo
Choose Tools Summary Report Generator. Below window select and GPEH files and select output directory. TEMS V report below.
