Temporary Fencing Products to suit Irish Farming ConditionsThe uses of temporary fencing are many and varied. It is a low cost, effective and efficient way to control livestock in remote areas. It is portable and easy to erect. It can be used for strip grazing and to protect wet areas of grassland to avoid damage to grass.

The same principles apply to temporary fencing all over the world. It consists of a battery fencer, temporary fence posts, either pigtail or plastic, reels, gate handles and either polytape or polywire.

Farm fencing in Ireland is more difficult than in most countries whether it is permanent or temporary fencing. The retention of hedges, moist climate and long growing seasons puts greater pressure on fencing through wet vegetation touching the fence wire. This means we need stronger fencers and better fencing materials to ensure the voltage stays on the wire to control livestock.

Because we use strong mains fencers on boundaries and then tend to use temporary product for sub division, creating paddocks and general pasture management, all fencing products need to be strong enough and fit for purpose.

In order to meet this demand we at Stradbally Farm Services Ltd decided to put together a strong range of temporary fencing product to meet the exacting needs of Irish farmers. It had to be strong enough to perform correctly when wet and vegetation growth coming in contact with the fence wire.

The result was ELECTRO POWER a range of strong, durable, high quality products with correct specifications to meet the demands placed upon it through our extreme climate conditions.

We examined existing temporary fencing product and used it where possible. We redesigned certain products and made them more suitable for Irish farm conditions. We developed new product to meet certain gaps in the market.

The result was a strong reliable range of quality temporary fencing products under the name of ELECTRO POWER. It is backed by our usual high standards of service and availability.
