1. IntroductionWe ask the participant to send the full text in a form that corresponds to the following pattern and in the

format MS_Word (*.doc or *.docx), and send it via web registration http://stretnutie35.sjf.stuba.sk. The name of the file that includes the paper should be in the following form: Surname_first name (of first author). The size of this paper is not limited (for CD).

All the authors are asked to prepare their papers in compliance with the following guidelines (paper template). Prepare your manuscript in format, on A4 paper (21 by 29.7 cm), margins for the whole paper except the first page: 2.8 cm - left margin, 2.2 cm - right margin, 3 cm - top margin, 2,5 cm - bottom margin, mirror margins. The modification of the template margins is forbidden.

The article is not limited, figures, tables, references and enclosures included. The text of the paper is followed by the keywords of the style “Keywords”. Three to five terms describing

the area of the technical or scientific orientation of the manuscript have to be given, the short Abstract and the Nomenclature.

The full text of paper may be in the Slovak, Czech and English version.

1.1 StylesTimes New Roman is recommended font. There are type sizes specified in Tab. 1. The usage of particular

styles will be described in detail in particular situations. Indent the first line 0.75 cm.

1.2 Title, Authors, Affiliation and HeadingsThe title of the manuscript is of the style “Title”. In a manuscript title, capitalize the first word and all other

words except for conjunctions, prepositions and prepositional phrases. The names of authors and their affiliations should be written on the first page as is shown in this template.

The names are of the style “Author” and the affiliation of the author(s) is in the style “Author_affiliation”.Headings of sections should be typed using the style “Heading1” (the first level of headings). Headings of

subsections are of the style “Heading2”. Subsections of the third or even further levels are not recommended. In headings, capitalize the first word and all other words. Keep the same manner as in case of manuscript’s title, please. If these styles are used, numbering of headings is performed automatically.

2. Helpful Hints

The style “Text” should be used for typing the basic text. The text should be justified to occupy the full line width so that the right margin is not ragged. If the basic text is interrupted by an equation, then the continuing text should be of the style “Text_continuing” (the paragraph is not intended).

2.1 Figures and TablesFigures and tables should be included in the text and numbered in Arabic numerals. Figures and tables

should be centered. Style “Figure” should be used for particular figures. This style defines gaps above and below a figure. Figure and table captions should be below the figures and tables, the captions should be left justified. Figures and tables captions are of the same style “Figure_caption”. Avoid placing figures and tables before their first mention in the text. Use the abbreviation “Fig. 1 or Tab. 1” in the text even at the beginning of a sentence.

Please be advised that if your figures look blurred or unreadable in the Word copy of your manuscript, they will look blurred in the final typeset version of proceedings, too. Therefore, please be sure to use high-quality images, saved a 300 dpi setting. All the figures will be printed in black and white, please make sure that your colored figures are really legible in black and white. Some colors show up very poorly when printed in black and white.

Fig. 1 The figure caption is of the style Description; the figure itself is of the style Figure.

The style “Table” is recommended to be used in table text. Above the table, one blank line of the style “Gap” has to be inserted.

2.2 Equations

SKMTaT 2016, 20-23 June, 2016Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava

Faculty of Mechanical EngineeringInstitute of Energy Machinery

Equations in the manuscript are of the style “equation”. Equations are numbered as shown in the following example:

[W·m-1·K-1] ()

In the text, symbols are preferred not to be written by the Equation Editor. In this paragraph, the style “Text_continuing” is used. Symbols in your equation should be defined before the equation appears or immediately following. Use “(1),” not “Eq. (1)” or “equation (1),” except at the beginning of a sentence: “Equation (1) is …”.

2.3 Other Recommendations Define abbreviations and acronyms the first time they are used in the text. Do not modify header and foot of pages. Do not add empty lines between paragraphs and figures or between paragraph and heading… The gaps

between paragraphs, figures, headings are guaranteed by used styles.

3. Checklist of items to be sent to SKMTaT 2016 organizing committee1. A final manuscript the extended abstract (max. 2 pages, MS Word) for print the conference proceedings2. A final manuscript the full text (no limited, MS Word, max. 10 MB) for conference USB.

4. ConclusionThe conclusion exemplifies the main results and the fundamental ideas presented in the manuscript.

AcknowledgementThe acknowledgement heading is of the same style as the heading references “Reference” and it is not

numbered. The text of acknowledgements is of the style “Text”.

The authors are asked to pay special attention to the form of references. The NAMES OF AUTHORS should be typed in capitals, the Titles of Journals, Books or Proceedings in italics (with ISBN or ISNN) with the first capital letter in all significant words. The titles of articles are typed similarly as the basic text without the first capital letter in all words. Enclose the citation number in square brackets for example, when referenced in the text [1].
