• Television is a system for transmitting and receiving moving pictures and sound over a distance employing a diffusion mechanism. The transmission can be effected by means of radio waves, television networks cable, satellite and IPTV television, where there openly and pay arrangements. The receiver is the TV signals. The word "television" comes from the Greek. Television The term refers to all aspects of television programming and transmission. Sometimes abbreviated as TV. World Television Day is celebrated on November 21 to commemorate the date on which held the first World Television Forum 1996 at the United Nations. Was invented by John Logie Baird in 1926

John Logie Baird John Logie Baird was born in Helensburgh , Argyll and Bute (then Dunbartonshire ) . He studied at the Academy in Helensburgh Larchfield in the School of Glasgow and West of Scotland In 1922 investigated the possibility to transmit images remotely, and in 1924 he managed to convey the flickering image of a Maltese cross. The January 26, 1926 , was held in London the first public demonstration of a true television system to a group of scientists Achieved in 1927 , by a telephone cord , transmit a television signal between Glasgow and London founded in the same year , the Baird Television Development Company, Ltd. , with the idea to commercialize the invention. In 1928 he managed to transmit pictures from London to New York via radio signals and also from mid-Atlantic aboard an ocean liner : for it installed a small television station on board. By 1930 the Plessey TV model with which British viewers (estimates were around 3,000) could follow the experimental emissions of the time was marketed , to the spectacular development of the invention ; the more adventurous could ride your own receiver , acquiring an exploded kit . He died in Bexhill -on -Sea (East Sussex, England) on June 14, 1946.
