• Welcome to the Central Library Virtual Tour. • The present library is housed on the second floor
and occupies an area of 482.39 sq.m.• It was established along with the Institute in the
year 1999.

BAGGAGE COUNTER
• This area serves as an entry point to all the sections of the library.
• Baggage is to be kept on the Baggage Racks only and NOT carried inside.

CIRCULATION COUNTER• The Circulation
Counter is located next to the entrance.
• This counter handles new memberships, issue and return of documents, renewals, reservations of books.
• Timings: 8.00 am to 6.00 pm
(Monday thru. Friday) 9.00 am to 4.00 pm (Working Saturdays)

BOOK STACK AREA• Open Access to
books, project reports, Sample Question Papers of University of Mumbai.
• Books are arranged subject-wise as per Dewey Decimal Classification.
• Bay Guides and detailed indices are provided for easy location of books.

JOURNALS AND MAGAZINES• SFIT Library is
deeply committed to provide physical as well as online access to a variety of journals and magazines to the students and staff.
• We have subscribed to 54 Print Journals and 6 e-journal packages for the year 2013.

• The Bound Volumes (Back Issues of Journals) are kept in this section.
• These are available only for reference.

• This section stocks books which can be consulted for project and research work.
• Books from this section are not available for home issue.

DIGITAL LIBRARY
• The DLS can be accessed in the library or from any terminal in the institute.
• It provides access to sample question papers (FE to BE), select e-books and seminar and conference proceedings.
• It can occupy 10 users at a time.

READING SPACE
• The Reading Room is located on the second floor – Room No. 212.
• Users can refer to the text-books and the reference books in this area.

• Photocopy facility is provided on the Ground Floor of the Institute.
