Phase 0 – Initial Assumptions

• Wounded have been removed from the area by the Czech Air force by helicopter to hospitals in the region.

• 2 main roads into the city have been cleared. These are main road’s from the east and west (access to Brno and Ceske Budejovice)

• A field hospital has been set up by the ERU on the outskirts of town out of the flood zone. 

• An emergency law has been passed which compels private firms with heavy machinery to help in the disaster clean up. 

• People have been housed in tents that have been set up on the out skirts of town.

Phase 0 – Initial Assumptions

• In the first week people have been given a ration of 10 litres of water a day per person.

• Emergency food supplies have been supplied to the local through NGO and governmental sources.

• Sanitation area have been set up

• Immediate measures to secure the nuclear power station (situated 50km) and advert the threat of contamination have been implemented.

• The army base at Namest nad Oslavou has suffered damage.

• Only one bridge in the town is passable.
