What will you do if you found out that your teenage daughter has gone the birth control route

without your consent? Well, as a concerned mum or dad, your first reaction would be your

daughter is now may be involved in high sexual activity that usual. Even though that might be

the case, but you suspicions may be unfounded after all. But isn’t that better than she coming

home one day pregnant. While the pregnancy may not exactly be an issue, her risk of

contracting sexually transmitted diseases should definitely be an issue.

Thus, giving birth to the issue of birth control implants.

What exactly is birth control contraceptive implant?

It is a device placed under the skin.

As a woman, In order to effectively choose the right birth control implant, a consultation with

the doctor is highly recommended. This is because the lifestyle and the specific needs of each

hormones undetectable after as little as three days. Most women usually ovulate within a

month.

The implants have the size of a match stick and are organized like as a fan. Using the implants

this way, it has produced 98% efficiency for women with less than 160 pounds weight.

Contraceptives implants have been known to have lasted for three years without any additional

commitment from the woman and they are cost effective as well. Also, it cannot be seen but

can be felt if that part of the body is touched or felt up. The implant is a secret birth control

method and does not restrict sexual intercourse and permits spontaneity.

It has to be noted that as with all birth control methods, it has to be done effectively for it work

efficiently.

An example of this implant is the IMPLANON. The implanon is an improvement on the other

types of contraceptive implants that were first introduced into the market. These older

implanted devices usually pose the problem of removal, so the implanon was designed to

correct this issue. It was lately approved by the FDA in the US.

These implant birth control contraceptives have now been added to the list of birth control

shots just like the contraceptives patch, the progestin releasing vaginal ring, and the

intrauterine device.

This increase in birth control options for women will definitely give women more options as

everyone will be to eventually find which of the methods is suitable for her with her doctor’s

advice of course.
