• We expect that you always treat them in a respectful manner.

• We ask that you always use appropriate language while in childcare.

What students say about the Teen Parent

Program:

“I get to meet other teen moms in the same situation. It’s a special bond we develop – different from meeting moms at a playground.”

» 17 year-old mother of a baby boy

Page 16: Teen Parent Program Orientation

“The teen parent program provides a homey atmosphere and welcoming environment that encourages the parents to come every day.

The opportunities provided are unlimited. The resources are there. It’s just up to us to use them.”

-- 17 year-old mother of a baby boy

Page 17: Teen Parent Program Orientation

“The staff teach you how to be a good parent and how to educate your child.

Before, I didn’t know how to hold a baby. Now I’ve learned how to act with a child: how to talk to them and ask what they want.”

--18 year-old father of a toddler
