Technology QUAD 204 TURRET MOORING SYSTEMS Discipline Product Line Project TMS SBM Offshore supplied BP with the QUAD 204 Turret for the Glen Lyon FPSO. The Quad 204 turret is one of the largest in the world with a mooring force of 2,250 tonnes in the 100-year return environmental conditions. It measures close to 100m in height and weighs more than 10,000 tonnes. The arrangement of the turret system will allow diverless installation of anchor lines and risers. The turret is based on SBM Offshore’s proprietary bogie-bearing design and represents the third in a series of large turret mooring systems for BP. Quad 204 is a true step-up in state-of-the-art turret technology for two reasons: • It has the most complex turret manifold ever designed and constructed. • It is designed against the most challenging environmental conditions from an extreme and fatigue wave loading consideration. The level of safety and reliability of the turret design has been raised to the highest level as the Quad 204 Turret Mooring System is a key element to produce the very large Schiehallion and Loyal Fields for many years to come. SBM Offshore supplied BP with the QUAD 204 Turret for the Glen Lyon FPSO. The Quad 204 turret is one of the largest in the world with a mooring force of 2,250 tonnes in the 100-year return environmental conditions. Mooring Lines:

The TMS has been designed to withstand harsh weather conditions, and is compatible with the existing riser arrangement and new overall subsea production system layout.

This includes:

• Design requirements for up to 28 riser slots• Anchor legs grouped into four clusters of five mooring lines each. • Turret system arrangement allowing diverless installation of anchor

lines and risers– an enhanced safety feature compared to previous designs.
