  • Today the subject of colour is getting

    more and more important. Quality criteria,

    such as ensuring the colour consistency

    throughout production, are important key

    factors in the production process. The new

    spectral inline colour measurement system

    inco_check from eltromat was designed

    exactly for this purpose.

    inco_check is characterised by a simple

    and intuitive operator workstation. Our goal

    is to provide an easy and intuitive system

    interface to make operator tasks simple and

    quick.

    The system is working during production

    at printing speeds of up to 800 m/min

    (2,625 feet/min) and delivering spectral

    measuring results (L*a*b*C*H*) regularly

    and accurately. This way you ensure colour

    consistency in important areas at all times

    during the production.

    The integrated calibration against a white

    standard saves space in the machine and

    automatically ensures a continuous verification

    of the calibration status during the process.

    With inco_check it is very easy to do the

    setting of up to 12 measuring points by a

    finger tip anywhere in the printed image.

    During the measurement exact colour values

    (L*a*b*C*H*), colour deviations (as ∆Eab,

    ∆Ecmc or ∆E2000), the history and the trend

    of the measurement results are displayed.

    Absolute spectral measurement

    With the aid of the specially developed spectral measuring

    head, it is now possible to set and measure up to 12

    measuring points successively throughout the entire

    web width. The measured data is processed in real time;

    therefore the measured values are immediately available.

    Inline measurement of the spectral colour values

    For defined measuring fields in the control strip or at any

    desired point in the printed image, the detailed results are

    displayed in a history.
