Types of Developmental Delays

• Intermittent: occasional support needed

• Limited: daily limitations, but can achieve self-sufficiency

• Extensive: cannot achieve self-sufficiency

• Pervasive: unable to perform most self-help actions; needs support for life-sustaining activities
