WOLSIDE® is a top quality “fused”

super-compact hard metal (HIP) coating,

based on special tungsten carbides and

other special minerals. It is particularly

suitable in the coating of mechanical

parts used in the drawing industry for

ferrous and non-ferrous metal wires, with

the purpose of reducing wear.

KERSINT® is a super-sintered ceramic

material made of zirconium oxide and

rare minerals.

The wear of the acid-resistant KERSINT®

rings is practically NEGLIGIBLE, with

consequent considerable reduction of

service and downtime.

KERSINT® is used particularly suitable

for parts used in the wet and dry

wiredrawing industry, where a very low

roughness value (Ra) is necessary.

NIKSINT® is a coating obtained by

depositing a layer of nickel for wear-

resistant applications with excellent

anti-corrosion properties, suitable for the

inline annealing process of copper wires.

tubes for annealing furnaces.

We offer customers all over the world our

service for the renovation of their worn-out

capstans as well as of other spare parts in

touch with wire.

The service consists in recovering the

geometry of those parts that are worn out

because of the contact with wire, and in

treating the surface with either KERBLACK®,

WOLSIDE® or COLDSIDE® coatings.

We apply KERBLACK® - a ceramic-based

coating - on the climb-up zone where strain

and wearing are heavier because of wire

skidding.

KERBLACK® is particularly suitable for

dry wiredrawing processes aimed at the

production of high, medium and low carbon

steel, stainless steel, copper and generally

all types of ferrous and non-ferrous wires.

Generally, during this service, we also clean

the capstan internally with the purpose of

removing any limestone deposit, which

prevents the effi cient cooling of the part.

The service is completed by the application

of a product that slows down the re-building

of limestone deposits.

We can also work on other areas of the

capstans that may need reparation.

Our technical staff can support you getting

better results from your products and

provide you with a competitive edge in

terms of quality and effi ciency.

Once the renovation is completed, the

capstan is as functional as a new one and

gives the user excellent results in terms of

wire quality. The refurbishment of capstans

is always economically effi cient.

We also obtain very good results with our

COLDSIDE® coating, based on tungsten

carbide.

A lot of customers all over the world

regularly use our renovation service for

their capstans, cones and pulleys.

In addition to pulleys, we can successfully

renovate with WOLSIDE® also other parts

for wiredrawing machines, such as wire

guides, cones, dancer pulleys, etc.
