This User's Guide has been written in the manufacturer's original language and translated intothe language of the country in which the equipment is used. It forms an integral part of theequipment, with which it should always be kept. The User's Guide should accompany theequipment in the event of relocation or sale.
The User's Guide contains valuable information and useful suggestions about training meth-ods, as well as medical and sports advice; it is therefore a useful guide both for professionalusers and for beginners with no previous sports knowledge.

1.2 Description of the equipment
1.2.1 Main components
A Seat : for user to sit on whilst exercising.
B Levers : moved by the user by operating the pads (C); before starting to exercise, or betweenone series of exercises and the next, the starting position can be adjusted so as to modifythe Range of Motion by using the ROM lever (E).
D ROM: system for adjusting the Range of Motion and the starting position. Adjustments aremade by means of the lever E.
F Weight stack : levers B, operated by the user, move the weights along two guide rails, bymeans of a cable. A pin (G) is used to select a workload, so as to adjust the force required.
H Side hand grips : users can hold the side grips for increased comfort whilst exercising.

The equipment is supplied with the followingaccessories:

References of spare parts are listed in thetable in paragraph 1.5.1; the CE Certificateof Conformity is reproduced at the end of thisUser's Guide.
Optional: castors (C and D) for moving theequipment (A0000015), Basic Box support kit(A0000010) and number plate (E)(H0000369), which can be fitted between thetop and guide rails of the weight stack.
WARNING
One or two castors (D) may be useddepending on the type of equipmentto be moved.
Assembly of number plate
The number plate (E) must be assembled justunderneath the top: with the equipment infront of you fit the number plate onto the tubeholding the sliding rail on the left hand side,against the edge of the rubber.
The number plate consists of two parts: thelarger part (E/1) should face the front; theother half circle (E/2) should face the back ofthe equipment.
Insert the two screws (Tbic M5x6 Z) from thefront of the equipment and then connect withthe two M5 box nuts at the back; tighten thenuts using a suitable tool.

1.2.4 Safety devices and labels
The equipment has no sharp edges.
All parts in contact with the body are suitablyprotected with rubber or padding.
The weight stack is protected externally bymeans of a protective panel.
On the weight stack panel, in a position clearlyvisible to the user, there is a safety informationlabel (see picture alongside).
WARNING
Please read the adhesive labels onthe equipment, which provideinformation about possible risks andhazards.
1.2 DESCRIPTION OF THE EQUIPMENT
1. Read all warnings and obtain proper instructionon use of the equipment prior to using.Use appropriate positioning, speed andcontrolled movements.
2. Obtain a medical exam prior to beginning anexercise program.
3. Keep head, limbs, fingers and hair clear of allmoving parts.
4. Inspect equipment prior to use. DO NOT use equipment if it appears damaged, jammed or
inoperable. Notify floor staff.
5. Use equipment for its intended use only.DO NOT modify equipment.
6. Be certain that the weight pin is completelyinserted. Use only the pin provided by themanufacturer. If unsure, seek assistance.
7. Never pin the weights in an elevated position.DO NOT use the equipment if found in thiscondition. Seek assistance from floor staff.
8. DO NOT allow CHILDREN near this equipment.Teenagers must be supervised.
9. DO NOT use if guards are missing or damaged.

The equipment is supplied fully assembled,with protective padding where necessary,wrapped in cellophane and immobilised on awooden pallet.
r Lifting and transportationof the packaging
Lifting and transportation using normallifting equipment.
In order to ensure the safety of persons andproperty, you should carefully consider whatordinary lifting and transport equipmentshould be used depending on the intendeddestination of the equipment.
WARNING
The forklift should be inserted on theweight stack side of the pallet only.An adhesive label on the packagingindicates the correct side (seediagram).

r Installation requirements
To ensure that exercising with the equipment is easy, safe and effective, the place where it isused should comply with certain specific requirements; in particular, before choosing the placewhere the equipment will be installed, please ensure that:
- the temperature is between +10° and +25°;- air renewal is sufficient to ensure a humidity level, whilst exercising, between 20% and
90%;- lighting is sufficient to ensure that exercising takes place in pleasant and relaxing conditions;- there is sufficient free space all around the equipment, for safety purposes, to prevent
obstruction during movement;- the surface is stable, flat, and vibration free, and capable of supporting the required weight.
If the equipment is installed in a public place of entertainment , its location must comply withall the suitability requirements laid down in current legislation on the subject.
r Unpacking
The equipment is supplied strapped ontoa wooden pallet, and protected with shock-proof Stratocell profiles and wrapped in acartene bag.
To remove the equipment from thepackaging:
- remove the cartene bag by sliding it offfrom the top;
- pull the tapes provided to open andremove the shockproof Stratocell profiles;

- cut the strapping which holds theequipment onto the pallet;
- lift the equipment on the seat side andremove the front crosspiece of the pallet;
- lift the equipment on the opposite side andremove the rear crosspiece.
DANGER
We recommend that the equipmentshould be lifted by gripping the fra-me only.

1.3 INSTALLATION AND PACKAGING
1.3.1 Lifting and movement of equipment
The castors should be used to move the equipment.
DANGER
Move the equipment very carefully, to prevent loss of stability.
The castors are fitted by lifting the equipment and pressing them into the ends of the legs.
Lift the equipment using a transpallet or fork-lift truck only inserted on the weight stackside ; for increased safety insert a wedgeunder the frame to support the equipment.
WARNING
It is advisable to insert paddingbetween the frame and the wedgeand between the frame and the lif-ting equipment.
Insert the two unidirectional wheels on eitherside of the weight stack: insert the pins (A) ofthe castors into the holes in the ends of thelegs of the equipment, then press home.
WARNING
When the equipment is lifted, pleasedo not press against the protectiveweight stack housing.
WARNING
The unidirectional wheels mustalways be fitted under the weightstack.

1.3.2 Adjustment of the equipment
Underneath the platform, on the ROM side,there is a small prop used to support theplatform: turn the prop slightly to the left orright so that it comes into contact with thefloor.
Check that the platform (A) does not comeinto contact with any moving parts; operatethe levers to ensure this.
Then tighten the lock nut (B).

1.4 Maintenance
1.4.1 Routine maintenance
The equipment should always be kept cleanand free of dust, in accordance with normalhygiene and sanitary rules, particularly if it isused in a sports centre or by more than oneperson.
Clean the padded components using a dampcloth or sponge and neutral soap.
Clean the external components of the equip-ment every week using a damp sponge.
WARNING
During cleaning do not exert excess pressure on the safety labels and instructions.
To lubricate the guide rails of the weight stack:- remove any dust and residual oil with a damp cloth;- spread a light film of vaseline oil on the guide rails.
WARNING
Make absolutely certain that there is no excess oil in the equipment.

1.4.2 Non-routine maintenance
r Replacement of paddedcomponents
Complete replacement of worn padded com-ponents (cushions, rollers, seats, backrests,etc.) is recommended, for hygiene reasons.
Padding can be removed towards the top,after loosening the screws (A).
In order to replace seats and backrestsloosen the screws on the oppposite side tothe padding.
r Replacement of cables
DANGER
ALWAYS use cables obtained directfrom Technogym.
Always replace cables immediately any signsof wear become apparent, even if only theprotective rubber appears worn.
In order to replace cables, please proceedas follows:
- loosen the screws (A), loosen the lock nut(B) and loosen the adjuster (C);
- remove the cable from the weight stackfrom the adjuster side;

r Adjustment of weight stackcable tension
It is possible to take up some of the slack inthe weight stack cable using the adjuster (C),after loosening the lock nut (B).
? INFORMATION
To pull the cable taut afterreplacement, it may be helpful, whentightening the screws (A), to insert athickness of approx. 10 mm (1/2")under the first weight in the weightstack.
- insert the new lever cable;
- immobilise the cable at one end bytightening three pins (D);
- pull the cable taut;
- tighten the three remaining pins (D).

r Dismantling the weight stack panel
The lower part of the protective panel (A) over the weight stack rests against the horizontaltube of the frame; it is screwed to the frame itself at the top (B).
In order to dismantle theweight stack panel (A),please proceed as fol-lows:
- insert a tool in thescrew (B ) withoutunscrewing;
- remove the bellows(C), loosen nut D;
- remove the bellows,loosen nut E;
- unscrew the screw(B) from the frame;
- repeat the sameprocedures on theother side of theweight stack panel;
- tilt the panel slightlythen slide it upwards.
To replace the weight stack panel, carry out the above procedures in reverse order, remem-bering that the screws (B) should NOT be tightened, as they are only used to CENTRE thepanel over the weight stack; only nuts D and E should be tightened.

1.6 Storage
If the equipment is out of action for a long time, it should be stored:
- in a clean dry place, with a dust cover;- at an ambient temperature between 10° and 25° and at an ambient humidity between 20% and
90%.
Storage in the original packaging is recommended.
1.7 Disposal of the equipment
Please ensure that the equipment does not represent a hazard, and do not leave the equip-ment where children are likely to play on it.Abandoning the equipment anywhere in the environment, in public areas or private areasused by the public, is prohibited.
The equipment is made of recyclable materials, such as steel, aluminium and plastics, whichmust be disposed of according to the method laid down in current legislation relating to urbanand similar waste, with the help of firms specialising in urban and environmental hygiene.

2 Instructions for use
2.1 Positioning
To release pads, lift the lever (A).
Select the workload with the pin (B).
Position your knees inside the pads (C).

2.3 How to use correctly
- Use of the equipment is subject to a medical evaluation in relation to the intended type ofexercise, and compliance with the conditions of use laid down by the manufacturer.
- Use the equipment only for the type of exercise for which it is intended, and according tothe methods and under the conditions stated in this manual.
- Persons suffering from certain physical conditions may only use the equipment under thestrict supervision of a doctor with specific competency in this area.
- Build up your training according to your own ergonomic characteristics and state of health,starting with undemanding loads.
- Training shoes and clothing suitable for physical activity should be worn; garments thatprevent perspiration should not be worn.
- Should you feel unwell during training (dizziness, chest pain, etc.), stop exercisingimmediately and consult a doctor.
- At the beginning of each exercise, make sure you are in the correct position , and thatnone of the parts of the equipment are in your way.
- Keep hands away from the weight stack during use.
- Do not spray water near the equipment.
- Do not leave the equipment outside, or expose it to the elements (rain, sun, etc.).
- Equipment in the Selection range should only be used for the purpose for which it wasdesigned, or for exercises with counterweights. Any other use should be consideredinappropriate and therefore dangerous.
- Do NOT disconnect the Range of Motion (ROM) adjustment lever, unless the weight stackis in the "rest" position.
