Present Release -> 3GPP Rel-8 (Dec’08).Upcoming Release -> 3GPP Rel-9 (Dec’09)
ALU TLA2.1/LE2.1 supports only Rel-8 features. TLA3.0/LE3.0 will support few features of Rel-9 (ex. MCBS)
- LTE – 3.9G ; LTE_Advanced – 4G -> Can be on TDD or FDD
-DL - OFDM ; UL - Single-Carrier FDMA
-Very low latency -> VERY IMPORTANT
-Support of Self-Organizing Network (SON) operation
- Support of variable bandwidth - 1.4, 3, 5, 10, 15 and 20 MHz
Present ALU release supports only 10 & 20 Mhz on TDD.
