COMPETITION FORMAT
TEAMS EVENT THE FIRST PHASE WILL BE PLAYED USING THE ROUND ROBIN FORMAT IN FOUR (4) GROUPS OF THREE (3) TEAMS EACH.
• Head of series teams Los 1 to 4 will be placed in slot 1 for each group. • Head of series teams 5 to 6 will be placed in slot 2 for groups 3 and 4.
• Head of series teams 7 to 8 will be placed in slot 2 for groups 1 and 2.
• Head of series teams 9-10 will be placed in slot 3 for groups 1 y 2.
• Head of series teams 11-12 will be placed in slot 3 for groups 3 and4.
• Two teams of each group will advance to phase two.

The Competition Format for teams that will be used is the Olympic format.
I. A vs. X II. B vs. Y III. Doubles (C/A o C / B) vs. (Z / X o Z / Y) IV. (B o A) vs. Z V. C vs. (Y o X)
All matches will be played best of 5 games.
The second phase will use the Simple Elimination Competition Format. All matches will be played best of 5 games.
DOUBLE AND MIXEDDOUBLE EVENTS: Will be played using a Simple Elimination Competition Format. All matches will be played best of 5 games.
SINGLES EVENTS:Will be played using the Round Robin Competition Format, making as many groups as are necessary with a minimum of three (3) athletes per group and a maximum of four (4) athletes per group. All matches in this phase will be played best of 5 games.
The 2 best athletes of each group will go on to phase 2. All matches in second phase will be played best of 7 games.

PARTICIPATIONOnly NOCs recognized by CACSO, whose National Table Tennis Fe-derations members of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and of ULTM, may enter athletes in the Table Tennis competition of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games, Barranquilla 2018. The associated members recognized by CACSO may also partici-pate if they are recognized by ULTM.

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF COMPETITORSAccording to the quota set by CACSO the Table Tennis competition will have a maximum of one hundred and four (104) athletes, fifty two (52) women and fifty two (52) men.
Each NOC may enter a maximum of four (4) athletes per gender, as long as they meet the Table Tennis qualifying criteria for the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games, Barranquilla 2018.

ENTRY PROCESS All countries through the corresponding NOC, must send their Sport En-try requests in the official forms that the Organizing Committee will send at the latest at 24:00 hours (Colombian time) on February 20, 2018. They must indicate in the form the sports in which they will participate in the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games “Barranquilla 2018”. (The forms that will be published in the official WEB site “Barranquilla 2018”). If recognized by the Pan American Confederation of said sport and CACSO, Associate Members may also be allowed to participate.
ENTRY BY NUMBERThe Entry by Number forms (indicating the number of participants in each individual event and per team) shall be sent to the Organizing Committee of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Ba-rranquilla 2018 at the latest before midnight (Barranquilla, Colombia’s time) of April 20, 2018 according to CACSO’s Regulation, Chapter VIII.
ENTRY BY NAMEFor each eligible athlete to participate in the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Barranquilla 2018 it is necessary to fill out an entry by name form that should be contemplated by NOCs and will be received by the Organizing Committee before midnight (Barranquilla, Colombia’s time) of Wednesday June 20, 2018 according CACSO’s Regulations, Chapter VIII.
Each NOC shall send the entry by number and entry by name forms in the official forms provided by the Organizing Committee, to be delivered six months before the Games.

MINIMUM PARTICIPATIONFor an event to be considered official at least five (5) representations must participate from the same number of National Olympic Commit-tees. In the event one or more representations, after the Technical Mee-ting takes place, may not participate due to force majeure (verified by CACSO) the event will be carried out with a minimum of four (4) repre-sentations of the same number of National Olympic Committees.
GENERAL RULES The competitions of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Barranquilla 2018 will be carried out according to CACSO’s Statute and the corresponding International Federation Regulation in force during the Games. The cases not foreseen in the above-mentioned regulations will be solved as follows:
A. General nature cases will be solved according to CACSO’s Statute and according to the Central American and Caribbean Games Regulation.
B. Technical nature cases will be solved according to the procedures of the Pan American Confederation or a Continental Organization
UNIFORMS AND SPORTS EQUIPMENT The Central American and Caribbean Games Regulation and the co-rresponding International Federation regulations must be followed as well as Rule 51 of the IOC, as per the rules established for NOCs in the Guidelines for the Use of Manufacturers Trademarks.

TRAINING FACILITIES Access will be allowed only to accredited team members. There is no public access allowed. Equipment shall follow the requirements of the corresponding International Federation.
TECHNICAL MEETING
• Up to two representatives from each NOC may attend the Techni-cal Meeting • The invitation card for the Technical Meeting will be available to the Heads of Team upon their arrival at the Sports Information Cen-ter of the Central American and Caribbean Village.• The Technical Delegate and the Organizing Committee’s Com-petition Manager for Wrestling will chair the meeting, which will be conducted in Spanish with an English translation.
TECHNICAL OFFICIALS Technical personnel and officials will be designated by the Latin America Table Tennis Union (ULTM) and ITTF according to the following criteria:
• 24 Umpires; 8 international and 16 national (all at ITTF standards).• General Referee International. (ITTF standards).• General Assistant Umpires (01 National and 01 International, all up to ITTF standards).• 01 Competition Manager. (Designated by ITTF) • 01 Paddle Controller. (ITTF Standards)• 03 Members of the Appeals Jury. (Proposed by ULTM). • 32 Officials Total.
• The Technical Meeting will take place on July 18, at the Puerta De Oro Convention Center At 2:00 P.m. Room 1.

PROTESTS AND APPEALS In the event of protests, the country that is protesting must deliver this protest, in writing, to the Appeals Jury which shall decide on a resolution before the beginning of the next competition session.
DRAW Draw will take place according to CACSO’s Rules and Regulations for the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Barranquilla 2018 and according to the last published ITTF Ranking, as follows: TEAM EVENTS:The computerized World Ranking per teams will be used for the pha-se 1. During the second phase, the winning teams will be drawn de-pending on the group they came from and the second place teams will occupy the opposite slot.

SINGLE:During phase 1, players will be draws according to the “Snake Draft” system. Phase 2 will have pre-qualified athletes drawn in head of series positions. The winners of each group will be drawn according to their respective groups, as per ITTF draw regulations. The athletes qualified in second place will be drawn for the opposing slot from their first place athletes for each group. Once athletes for each group. Once these regulations are complied with, the athletes from the same Federation will be separated. CALENDAR:Draw will take place the day before the beginning of the event and on days 2, 4 and 5 of competition events.
The events that will be drawn are Team events, Final Team Brackets, Single Groups, Double, Mixed Doubles, and Final Singles Brackets.
Date to be defined: Team Draw – Puerta de Oro Convention Center at 14:00.
Competition balls should be 3*** from the I T T F r e c o g n i z e d b r a n d s : N I T TA K U , BUTTERFLY, JOOLA, TIBHAR, STIGA.

MEDAL CEREMONY The medal ceremony will be carried out according to CACSO’s Re-gulation, Chapter XIII.
Singles Events: • First place: Gold Medal and diploma • Second Place: Silver Medal and diploma • Third Place: Bronze Medal and diploma (2)
Teams: • First place: A diploma for the team and one gold medal and a diploma for each of its athletes. • Second place: A diploma for the team and one silver medal and a diploma for each of its athletes. • Third place: A diploma for the team and one broze medal and a diploma for each of its athletes.
DOPING CONTROL Doping control will be done according to CACSO’s Medical Com-mission requirements, according to the corresponding International Federation Regulation and will follow the 2018 version of standards of the World Anti Doping Agency procedures (WADA).
