Wilson Reading System Introductory Three-Day Workshop e Wilson Reading System (WRS) is the flagship program of Wilson Language Training and the foundation of all other Wilson programs. Wilson Fundations© Level One-Day WorkshopsEach full-day Fundations level-specific workshop provides the practice and guidance needed to effectively begin teaching the Fundations curriculum for the designated level(s).

At the completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

• Obtain background knowledge and understand the research base of the why and how of Fundations instruction.

• Identify the skills taught in the specific Fundations level, in the following areas: phonemic awareness, phonics and word study, vocabulary, high frequency trick words, fluency, comprehension, handwriting, spelling, and punctuation.

• Understand the principles of instruction: explicit instruction, sequential and cumulative instruction, engaging multiple learning styles with multisensory instruction, repetition, and feedback.

• Prepare a daily learning plan and practice lesson activity procedures.

• Build a learning-focused classroom that maximizes instruction time.

Please note: Registration for only one session is recommended.

Wilson Fundations® Intervention and Progress Monitoring Two-Day WorkshopThis two-day workshop focuses on skills, materials, activities, and lesson planning of the Fundations Double Dose Lesson and how the Fundations Curriculum Based Measurement tool is used to monitor progress.

Please Note: The prerequisite for this workshop is the Fundations Level Workshop and at least one year of experience using Fundations is recommended.
